    The whole story:

I've had a tune up about a week ago and these are the things that has been done. I've opted for tune up since i had idling issues.

    - Tappets adjusted (quite mode )
    - Throttle body cleaned
    - Intake Manifold cleaned
    - New set of spark plugs

After this, I installed new H4 bulbs on my ride (100w/90w) No harness, no relays, no nothing.

Everytime I turn on the headlights and the air conditioning, the idle goes down (which i know is normal) but when I go turn the wheel, the idle goes down to 500 and car starts to vibrate. As per my assesment, the car vibrates only when I do this things and when the A/C and HL are not on, idling is a lot better.

Where do I start from here? What do I need to check / replace and how much would it cost me? TIA :

if you turn on your lights, especially using a 90/100watts rating lamp, your alternator load will definitely increase due to high electrical current needed to supply your current load... one solution is have your lights back to stock 55/65watts rating or have your idling increased to compensate the alternator load when you turn on your headlights..

your alternator does'nt have the idle-up function just like to your airconditioning system wherein the idling is automatically increased when you turn on the aircon...

when you have high electrical current load just like having an over rated lamps, plus the load of your power steering pump when you turn the steering, your normal idling speed will be affected since the alternator and power steering does not have the idle up function...

So the question is what do I have to do retain the wattage of the lamps and at the same time not pump up the idle? Is there any other way? Like for example changing the alternator to higher ratings or maybe installing a relay kit for the lamps? Grounding kit perhaps?

sir we have the same wattage for the headlights and also have the 2000 model lxi pero no such problem sa ride ko. in my case, i have a basic sound setup, foglights stock bulb and 100/90 headlights. you can still retain the bulb, installing a ground kit might help solve the problem. im yet to do the upgrade but upon reading the reviews for the ground kit, its worth a try na rin.

you might have weak grounding na, considering the age (same goes with my car) baka may rust bulid up na.

having a change in alternator would be expensive na and i think it can hold the load naman... we have the same alternator rating.

So grounding lang? Grouding Kit lang kaya ang katapat?

return to your stock bulbs at tignan mo kung aayos yung idling mo. kung umayos e di related nga siya doon sa bagong bulbs na kinabit mo. you may have to install a relay for the bulbs.

Electrical load causing idling issues. Please help.
