battery nakailaw sa dashboard

ask ko lang kung ano kaya ang possible na problem --
nakailaw kasi ung battery indicator ko kapag pinapatakbo ko ang engine,
pero oks naman ang ilaw, sounds, etc and one-click pa din kpag ini-start
sa alternator po kaya ang problem? parang may naamoy sunog din kc ako
my ride is corolla '95

Ok lang patabohin, pero baka titirikan ka sa daan pag naubos ang charge na battery, especially pag gas ang sasakyan mo.

Sa diesel...baka hindi na anandar uli.

I suggest you bring it to the nearest electrical shop. Yung few kilometers lang.

pacheck mo yan, the only common reasons why the battery light goes up is kung naputol ang alternator belt, di nagchacharge ang battery and kung dead na ang battery mo.

other than that, malamang merun ibang diprensya.

Experience ko na rin yung ganyan, ang cause ay yung voltage regulator defective na, kaya hindi na nag chacharge ang alternator, depende sa alternator no kung IC type kailangan buksan ang alternator at palit ng IC, meron naman ang voltage regulator ay nasa labas kaya masmabdaling palitan kahit ikaw kaya mo.

The Battery Indicator Light will not light kung mahina or patay na ang battery mo. That light serves mainly as an indicator for the alternator if it is not doing its job properly.

Paayos mo na asap, otherwise ititirik ka nyan. I would recommend buying a brand new alternator, kung may budget ka. Isshin Genki ata brand, sa may Handyman Robinson's East. For the Corolla, less than 4k siguro, 6 mos. warranty.

qq na lang po, ask ko lang para ndi naman ako maloko sa mga price, if ever ndi ako magpapalit ng brand new na alternator, mga magkano po ba kung papa-repair ko lang eh --

Since the alternator is one of the major component in a car's electrical system, I would not recommend repairing it. Buying a new alternator may be expensive than repairing one but you'll be assured of a longer service life. Your car is almost 12 years and I guess this is the first time you're going to replace it. So just imagine the peace of mind you'll have if you have a new alternator - another 10 or so years w/out repairs and worries... on the premise that you're planning to keep your car that long.

yeah this happened to me too. changed the alternator, i bought a surplus though.

another thing that can cause that is the battery doesnt have water anymore. this happened to the corolla of my fiancee.
