    mga paps,

been to my suking auto supply and told me na halos mechanical binebenta nila na oil pressure gage...meron ba talaga available na electric? planning another DIY plus i don't want to solely rely kasi on the "engine toasted" warning light.

is your car equipped with a pressure gauge or just a low pressure warning light? both are available but you have to determine which one your car originally have or adapt it to the instrument cluster gauge or indicator light

the part is is called oil pressure sending unit. you can use one for any asian car. the only factor you will have to consider is whether the terminal is blade type or pin type. the threads are all npt

    Mga gurus pasakay naman.

Balak ko buhayin ang oil pressure gauge sa cressida. 21R engine. Ang papalitan lang ba ay yung nakaplug sa engine? Anu tawag dun? At san ikakabit ang dulo. Putol na kasi.

    Salamat

the real story behind this is that i replaced the sending unit thrice in a span of 2.5 years. the first two were the CIRCUIT brand, the third one (at present) is SASAKI brand since the NILES brand got a circular terminal.

the reason why i want to add an oil pressure gage is to monitor oil pressure "real-time" and to eliminate immediately if the sender unit is defective.

since i don't want any possible leaks (of hot oil, ouch!) within the driver-passenger compartment, i'm searching for the electric type....been to another auto parts, sadly they have the mechanical one.

looks like mechanical na ang bagsak ko.

wait lang dito ha. oil sending unit tapos kinabit sa rpm gage/tachometer? i doubt...pwede siguro sending unit ng 4k pero ang tanong is tama ba yung reading sa ganong set-up?
