    Saw this on FB. Unconfirmed, but a source (the neighbor) says that the owner was trying to install LEDs on his Mirage when this happened.

    So much for the new-car smell.

    paano kaya nasunog? nagdikit yun wires? iba talaga nagagawa ng social media, hayop! nakuha pang mag picture kung sino man yun kumuha instead na tulungan...

    kung electrical fire wala naman magagawa na yung garden hose diba? kailangan ata diyan fire extinguisher na para sa oil and fire. important talaga na may fire extinguisher sa sasakyan.

    That's the five hundred thousand peso question. He'll have to see the fine print as "unauthorized tampering" (or something like that) might void the insurance.

    led installation could not spark that kind of fire... why?- cause led consume less electricity hence it could not lead to such

    but according to topgear phil, that photo was due to improper HID installation - much more plausible since hid consumes more electricity and are a heat magnet

    china ballasts may consume more electricity than stated otherwise they usually use 35w or 50w. an hid bulb generates high temps, but not a heat magnet.

    katakot naman yan, nagpalagay pa naman ako ng mumurahing foglights. after 8 months patay sindi na, ngayon patay sindi na sya namamatay kapag
    umiinit bumubukas ilaw kapag malamig na, buti nalang may sariling switch sya, then tinignan ko yung wirings nag melt yung plastic na connection, hindi ko pa napapaayos, delikado pala yan

    Everything that burns turns into carbon.

    Carbon is a good conductor.

    Once sunog na, it will short circuit at kung hindi tama ang kabit ng fuse, electrical fire follows.

    That's when DIY becomes Destroy It Yourself.
