Has anybody tried to install Bosch Europa's?
I just got mine and noticed that the connectors do not indicate polarity for positive and negative.
Are they interchangeable?

may polarity po yan. btw hindi lang tutunog pag nagkabaligtad - no need to worry.
hmmm... yung europa ko parang may + - ah?
anyway tama di nga tutunog yan pag baliktad just make sure meron kang inline fuse at relay![]()
Slightly OT, do you know the frequency of those horns? The one we bought na standard Bosch "pit-pit" have 420Hz and 335Hz for the high and low tones respectively. TIA ;)
Thanks everyone for your inputs.
I started my installation yesterday and did a few tests and here is what I found.
1) The horn's metal parts cannot be grounded.
2) The terminals must be connected to + and - connections and are interchangeable.
mbeige, in answer to your question, the horns frequencies are 300Mhz and 375 Mhz. I have heard of some people fine tuning and adjusting the horns to a higher frequency but haven't yet discovered on how it's done.![]()
yan ba yung aluminum face? madalas gamit sa old benz? kasi kung yun nga, madali ng sya masira pag nababasa.
don't tinker with the frequency magloloko yan. but if you really want to tinker with it, its that black glue-like thing near the word bosch. you'll have to remove it the you will see a screw inside which you can turn to adjust the tone.
and like Joey said put a relay, it needs a strong stable current.
any remedy kung medyo ngo ngo na yung sound ng europa? been using mine for 5 years ang pangit na ng tunog. should i try adjusting the frequency?
Bossing, baka naman 300 Hz and 375 Hz. Generally, humans can only hear sounds up to around 20 kHz (0.02 MHz) in frequency. mbeige, your standard Bosch should have higher tones than the Europa.Originally Posted by augustus
Yeah you're right the standard Bosch ones are 335Hz and 420Hz for the low and high tones. Dapat pala Europa kinuha ko hehe oh well I'm back in the US...
I think the adjustment is only for "recalibrating" kapag wala na sa tono kasi I tried adjusting the new ones we got (standard Bosch for the Civic) and they're pretty much the same sound. Overadjusting resulted in a nullified effect nawala yung tunog ng isa (yung adjusted) kaya balik sa dati ayun bumalik. So I think you can't change the frequency of the tone di mo pwede pababain it's in the material I guess...
Mga sirs question about bosch europa silver. Kaya ba imount sa likod ng mesh ng bumper or sa grille? If pede sa bumper, kelangan ba baklasin or pedeng hindi na?
- car is honda jazz ge 1.5v(facelift)
Thanks in advance.
Sorry for resurrecting a very old thread. Does anyone know the right Amps to use for the Relay and Fuse for 1 Bosch europa?

i used a 30A Bosch 5 pin relay and a 10A fuse, commonly available on auto supply stores.
it is working for around 4 years na, lumalim nga lang tunog over the years conpared to a newly installed pair
Pa share naman paano kinabit with relay.
