ano ang effect pag nagpalit ka ng stock alternator/battery (ride is corolla xl 1992 12valve 1.3) to a bigger alternator (sorry di ko alam ang capacity) and a larger battery (2sm)? TIA

syempre better power supply sa sasakyan mo at better charging para sa battery mo. kung magpapalit ka ng alternator stick ka na lang sa stock size ng battery mo.

hindi ba mahihirapan ang makina kung larger alternator, kasi ang the car was designed to have a smaller alternator? what is the difference between 1sm 12v and 2sm 12v?

the bigger the size ng battery mas matagal yung reserve power nya (the power that it can exert if in case masira ang alternator). hindi naman mahihirapan ang makina kung magpapalit ka ng mas malaking alternator. kahit ano pa size nung alternator mo kung di naman maganda ang pagkakabit at di naka-align na maayos sa makina, mahihirapan yung makina.

kaya ko sinabi na wag na magpalit to a bigger battery kasi ganun din naman ang voltahe nun. pero if you want more reserved power then go palit ka. ang importante nare-recharge ng alternator ng mabuti yung battery.

An upgrade to a bigger battery (1 to 2 sm)you'll notice that your HU lights doesn't blink that much as before. You'll have longer reserve cranking power. Do this if you intend to install amps, upgrade your headlamps (100w+) and foglamps. A higher amp alternator say 100amp will charge you battery faster as against your usual 65 amp stock unit. Of course the alternator stops charging the battery when the regulator/IC tells it so.

If you don't intend to add amps and fogs your better off with your stock battery and alternator.

I have a charade and it uses 40A alternator ata. If i upgrade my alternator to a higher Amp rating, mahihirapan ba ang makina? TIA

Depends on the current load you have (do you have a sound system? bone stock ba siya? etc). Do you experience flickering lights? Check all other electricals first baka ground lang or loose connection.

The battery is just there to start the car. Once that happens the alternator generates the electricity necessary to run it (spark plugs, ECU, onboard electronics, etc).

I'm planning to have an audio upgrade eh.

seps, and sub lang naman ang i-drive.

lahat ng electricals stock. baka lang kasi kapusin.

Then upgrade the alternator and the battery to a deep cycle type. Wiring should also be upgraded so that the extra charging won't be impeded by the thin, stock wires.
