August 13th, 2013 02:38 PM #1mga bossings,
Qoo10-Singapore - Automotive - ?Car LED Battery Tester? Using Cigarett...
hehehe.
thanks!

old cars had voltmeter and ammeters. to make the car's instrumentation simpler. manufacturers replaced them with idiot lights or charge malfunction indicator light. of course the predictables (voltage is regulated when the engine is running and the alternator is working satisfactorily) don't need elaborate gauges. similar to aircraft instrumentation. the flight crew, the pilot, co pilot, navigator and flight engineer tend to panic if one gauge is fluctuating or some warning lights flicker. but with this similar scenario, on military aircraft, should it happen while forward deployed in a hostile area, the crew will try to fly it back home. if the malfunction happens in say for example hawaii, puerto rico or japan or europe, the flight crew will use this as an excuse to stay at club med for a considerable time. the warning lights should suffice as long as you do your routine preventive maintenance.
unless you want it to look like this

August 13th, 2013 02:49 PM #4maganda sha as an accessory pero other than to monitor battery life parang hindi sha worth it.

August 14th, 2013 10:34 PM #6in my opinion... no.
i had one 20 years ago.. never got the chance to appreciate it. never missed it at all.

August 15th, 2013 11:13 AM #7If you remember.

I used this before. Dami nagkalat sa banawe acc shops, even blade/concorde.
Helpfull in a bit. Me threads na rin dito about car batts.
Afaik, below 11.9v cannot start the engine na. While idle or rev a bit voltage will play bet 13-14v.
Yun iba naman, 'upgrade' to reduction type starter which can still start your car at 6v ata (not sure sa min voltage requirement)
By experience sa motolite, usually starts to fail on 25th to 26th month nya (past the 24mo warranty). Charge/power doesn't stay long na.
Kun manual ka, no need to worry at pwede itulak (in case no issue with electricals when batt fails o discharged).
If you don't have a spare tire, a tire inflator using the socket of the car as power outlet is the...
