Just have it checked at a battery shop. I've had 2 different cars whose batteries gave up after 5 years.

if your car is manual transmission, you (your slaves, actually) can easily push-start it. then go straight to the battery store.
btw, i get better price if i check price by phone before i go. otherwise, you might end up paying for the presyong-turista (full list price).
kung otomatic naman, magdala ka ng battery charger, o di kaya ay kumaway ka ng taxi. many of them have jumper cables for hire.

i have a colleague who does not want to be bothered by battery failure.
she replaces her battery every 2 years, regardless.

I recently replaced my maintenance free battery(disposable) after 4 years. It became sluggish last month, and last Sunday it finally say goodbye.

If you use your car everyday, typically battery would last 2-3years. But if you rarely use your car battery could last longer let say upto 5years.

there was a time, i dared not wait to re-start my car more than 10 minutes after turning it off.. and at home, the maids already knew the routine in the morning..
my colleague, he made sure he parked on an incline at night...
those were our student days.. money was tight then.
but those were the days we learned a lot about cars..

as to the cdr king gizmos.. i don't know. best if we look at the rating first before buying. baka masyadong mahina... one chance ka lang dahil completely discharged na after one try... baka kasi pang-motorsiklo lang yan, e.. heh heh. (using jumpers on a motorcycle! that's rich!).

i think batteries last longer if they remain fully-charged.. this is probably why some drivers still rev up their engines before retiring for the night.
i think it is the discharged plate that crumbles more easily than the charged plate... or something like that.
