"... binenta na sa inis..." ?
    heh heh.

    but in "fairness",
the ford dis-reputation of some of its models, is legendary.

    to wit,
a workplace colleague recently had a nightmare of an experience with her fiesta.
another colleague chimed in, "ganyan din nangyari sakin, eh."
"bakit hindi moko tinimbrehan nung ini-isip ko pa kung ano ang bibilhin ko?"
"akala ko, alam mo na, eh."

Is geely (or other Chinese made cars for that matter) eating a substantial chunk of the local vehicle market? Are they the leaders in hybrid sales?

Hindi kaya demolition job ito tulad Ng Montero sport sua campaign dati?

i wouldn't know about the geely.
but a number of my ka-baros do drive them.
they weren't vocal about their new cars back then, and they aren't noisy about it now.

    montero demolition job?
i never noticed there was a demolition job!
but there was considerable critique on drivers' in-adequacies masquerading as montero SUA.

if geely is so bad they'll end up like chevy spark and other bad cars

everybody will be selling them at walang gusto bumili

    prices will keep dropping

pero sa ngayon... if you check fb marketplace and carousell... di mura ang 2nd hand coolray

let's see what happens after this negative publicity

    babaha ba ng used geely

Yuchengco Group of Companies’ (YGC) House of Investments, Sojitz G Auto Philippines’ (SGAP) shareholder and now a dealer partner, broke ground for the construction of Geely Manila.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, House of Investments President & CEO Lorenzo Tan expressed YGC’s commitment with its partnership with Geely as it eyes to finish the new Geely dealership in Manila by April 2021, “This event holds significance as it will be our first dealership undertaking despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Today, almost 3 decades after we have refocused and strengthened our car business. We are adding to our portfolio by building a very modern Geely dealership to service more Filipino customers,” Tan added.

the car itself is fine... it's the rabid owners and the dealer that are cringe worthy.

car ownership is an evolving experience.
years ago, a couple of my ka-baros were driving chedeng / subaru. now, they're into toyota.
some of our young ka-baros were formerly into honda civic and vios. they're now into subaru.
one used to volvo. naka-kicks e-power na ngayon.
yung isa, puro koreans ang binibili...

imo this reflects japanese brand of management and filipino brand of service, not the chinese car brand. this is not geely china. quality? which car brand doesnt have quality issues on their brand new released cars. and bilis nyo makalimot sa fuel pump recalls ng toyota at mitsu, not including the questionable quality of the clutches of grandia. its easy to point this out since it is new player

    the car might suck,
    but it's almost forgive-ble,
if the casa admits it, covertly or openly,
and does something to fix it.

    years ago,
    there was this running joke,
if the china car brakes down, better to purchase a replacement car, than to look for spare parts.

Quick drive: The facelifted PH-bound Geely Coolray | TopGear PH

Everyone knows that the current model uses a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo that makes 177hp and 255Nm of torque. It’s been replaced by a Volvo-derived 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine. The extra cylinder bumps power up to 181hp and 290Nm of torque. It’s still paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
