According to the source of the Humvee...
It is for serious buyers- hence the price, not even if they are Chinese daw will have special preference or discount.
The Office is in greenhills... the unit is in Valenzuela. Just PM if you wish to see it.
It's Military Green in color.

December 17th, 2009 01:31 PM #23If the Chinese PLA uses it, then this is a serious military standard vehicle. Too expensive though at the local price of P3.8M, I guess price is loaded with taxes and mark-ups.

April 8th, 2011 04:04 AM #26Wow, I didn't know this Humvee has it's own thread here. This hummer was actually bought by someone 'very close' to me. It's the only one in the Philippines and IT IS expensive for it's price, and here's the reason why.
Long story short, it was supposed to be presented for the AFP. But somehow, something went wrong and somebody forgot to take into consideration that the Philippines has a treaty with the US, whereas the Philippine Military is NOT ALLOWED to use any NON-US military vehicles. Nandito na yung sasakyan bago nila malaman. Now, instead of returning the Humvee back to its homeland, which is panibagong gastos na naman(shipping and etc.), "they" decided to sell it in the Philippines instead.
Now, like what the source has said according to ehnriko, it truly is for serious buyers. Collectors. That Humvee's gonna be the only "real" Humvee in the Philippines that has a plate number and can be driven by a civilian.
Here's some pictures:

WOW! its good to know that it was sold here instead of sending it back...
I saw someone posting a chinese humvee in sulit way back I'm just not sure if this was it but since you said that its the only one here then I think thats the one being sold before online...
I was just surprised that its a full military spec.. I thought they've just brought in a civilian counterpart...
regarding the AFP issue....was the seller of the unit is aware of the possibility that the treaty was already obsolete or possibly null and is only in effect when the americans still has an active base here?
because AFAIK the majority of the military vehicles(kia KM450) nowadays are sourced out from korea....so if that treaty is still effect the military couldn't have bought the korean vehicles....
So I think theres 3 possible things happened....Either Someone has lobbied in the army for it to purchase the korean made trucks or the price of the Chinese humvee was just so damn expensive that the procurement officers did not bother to have the vehicle checked and lastly the importer did not do some research if the treaty was still in effect and has fully believed the guy who told him about it and it turned out he didn't seek audience with the AFP....
Personally, I could have preferred the chinese hmmvee rather than those korean trucks because AFAIK all of the parts that was used for the chinese one was all sourced out from the states which is way far beyond the koreans in terms of durability....But knowing the filipino mindset mas gusto natin ang "madaling masira pero madali rin gawin" instead of matagal masira pero mahirap gawin" and if we based our preference using the "madaling masira pero madali rin gawin" the KIA KM450 is far wayoff rather than the DongFeng HmmVee...
I just hope I can see that unit personally....
I'm guessing it has the V8 6.5ltr Duramax engine because its a full military spec with all the PROOFINGS included....:naughty2:
I would be surprise if you told me that it has a cummins 4 cylinder...
Please do post more pics and interior pics if possible....(^__^)
and cover the plate number for the owners privacy...
thanks in advance!^__^

Here's a link of the civilian version...
I'm pretty much sure if the politicians sees it...it will be an instant hit!you just need a good salesperson to make the buyer understand that its almost the real one with half the price tag and it doesn't suck because its made in china...
