Inquired about this, when i recently took a look see on the Spark, SA told me it would be around the price range of the Swift but not over the Jazz.

The 5dr on Youtube reviews kinda looks like the Sparks older brother =p

I believe the ASEAN Chevy Sonic will have naturally aspirated 100PS 1.4 and 115PS 1.6 liter engines.
The optional 1.4 turbo is currently only offered in the USDM Sonic which is assembled in the GM Orion Township Assembly Plant in Michigan.

The 1.4 is going to be quick... but not very much so... it may 138 turbocharged, torquey horses, but it also weighs some 1,270 kilograms. According to US tests, it's only about as quick as a Civic 1.8 MT or my Ford Lynx 2.0

The Sonic might be launched here around November (just rumors, haven't seen any formal announcements yet), looks like their focus at the moment is the newly launched Colorado and the soon to be launched facelifted Captiva.

I've already seen Korean-made Sonics, both the 5-door and the 4-door, with the n/a 1.6L Ecotec. I'm 1.87m tall and didn't feel bad inside it.

According to 3rd party sources like sul*tcars, the P788,888 Sonic 1.4 MT and P828,888 Sonic 1.4 AT are both LT models, but based on the specs listed, the local Sonic LT appears to be closer to the Thai LTZ (see photos in previous posts).
Based on the images on the webpage, the interior also looks similar to the Thai LTZ's, but lacks the steering wheel mounted controls (it has the silver steering wheel trim though).

Guess we'll just have to wait until someone can confirm this since I read in dopamine101's post that it should be out today (August 22) at Chevy Edsa.

It has a 100hp 1.4L engine, but its specs are meant to compete with the top 1.5L and 1.6L models.
Features include 16 inch alloy wheels, 6-speakers, dual air-bags, ABS, fog lamps, power features, 60/40 split forlding rear seats etc.
