Any particular reason why the Chevrolet Orlando has such a low resale value? Gas guzzler? Expensive maintenance? Design defects? Mechanical issues?

2012 models with less than 10T kms are priced 800T+ only.

It's a Chevy. People are scared of the brand. And it's a gasoline MPV.

Resale prices for secondhand gasoline MPVs are typically not great... though 800k is not terrible.

Even when brand new it didn't sell, what more of second hand units.

if you don't see any on the road would you not think that there are no parts available other than the casa? Indent order pa siguro.

and lastly, it's a chevy. Sinira nila pangalan nila when they first came in.

But people are lining up to buy the Trailblazer and Colorado and you don't see many of the being sold used for cheap. That's why the conclusion was there might be something wrong with the Orlando like maybe it's a gas guzzler. Anyway, so for those considering the Chevrolet Spin, they might want to look at the Orlando.

Are Chevrolet parts hard to find outside of dealer?

The Trailblazer and Colorado can be termed as "***y" or "macho" vehicles. But it cannot be applied to the Orlando because it's a MPV.

MPVs are never "macho" nor "***y"....

Only reason people might line up to buy MPVs is if they are good value for money, like the Starex.

    One word:

    DIESEL.

People will forgive any sin, as long as the car is a diesel.

Crappy injector o-rings? No problem. DIESEL. (brand x)

Cracking turbine housings? No problem. DIESEL. (brand y)

Automatic transmission made of glass? No problem. DIESEL. (brand z)

Poor fuel economy? Poor performance? Okay lang yan! Mura naman ang DIESEL.

The Trailblazer and Colorad are diesel. Everyone loves them.

Orlando is not diesel. Hence, poor resale value.

    That's all.

Ugly, fuel guzzler gasoline engine and underpowered for it's purpose (MPV).

Plus, being a Chevy brand does not sell well in the used car market as brands like Toyota and Honda.

Possibly because it's not a popular model, unlike the Trailblazer and the Cruze. It may have one an award or two for its class but it hasn't won the majority of users within its class here in our country. Also, because of its engine compared to Toyota Innova you get better fuel mileage for a diesel compared to a gasoline.

It's not really that expensive considering the features. Niky's right, they didn't put the Holy Grail of features, a Diesel engine.

The orlando did not took off because of its pricing. It was difficult for chevy to position this mpv because price is within the range of popular suvs. It was a wrong move to bring this in the Phil. Market.

The Spin is the right mpv for chevrolet.

But we're trying to compare it with the Orlando so it should at least be a G since E variants pre-2012 have only driver's airbag.
