    hatak at lakas nya ok.

    cons..

for 2005 model sa 210k san kapa. amoy bago parin diba.

since na ngayon ka palang titingin. you can contact us kung gusto mo ng opinion namin or kami mismo tumingin ng optra na binibenta. since we are specialized sa optra nakita na namin yung mga sakit nya at alam di namin price nya...

still its your firts car naman so enjoy..

its better to bring someone knows about pros, and cons,
kahit na ano pang oto yan basta ok ang price at ok ang makina and everything tapos mabebenta mo sa next 2yrs nya sa same amount ng binili mo, investment parin yun..

chevy optra is not really an american car but rather a kimchee car made in korea wanna be chevrolet. it was made by what used to be daewoo car company who went belly up because of very poor quality in materials and worksmanship. in the u.s., these cars are no longer sold because of a couple of deficiencies. even parts are hard to find there. the information system for repairs, service bulletins, specifications, wiring diagrams, parts catalog can not even be found on alldata information system (dvd format repair manuals). as per experience, i would not work on this car for the same labor rate (maybe triple the charge). you are better off purchasing japanese, american or european car

Duon rin sa Optra ko. At 57k kilometers, binenta ko without it giving me a headache.

    RFS : Expensive to maintain.

    That's it. Pero looks-wise and comfort-wise? Panalo.

The Optra has pretty generous features for its price, good handling and braking performance is known to be pretty top notch for its time, but it is thirsty with just so-so performance, parts are expensive and hard to procure, and its no American car. This is a Pininfarina designed, rebadged Daewoo like many of GM's small cars. If you're looking on buying the Optra, you might as well get a Korean car that is Korean by name and by blood so that the purchase price is lower and parts are cheaper and easy to find.

I beg to disagree on some points as I have a first-hand experience on an Optra.

    Yes.

but it is thirsty with just so-so performance,
Thirsty, yes. So-so performance, not really. The acceleration might be restricted as the body is naturally heavy but the top-end power is just fantastic.

Come on, can you name a Korean car that's WORTH BUYING for 210k?

Just sharing what I have heard from some friends, read from posters here and various reviews about it. My family wouldn't touch Chevrolet, not with the current dealer network. Eto nalang para more personal, a friend of mine has a 2005 Optra 1.6LS M/T in their family and last time I asked, its got more than 120000kms on the clock. His mother is a pediatrician who uses it for her daily commute to her clinic. They don't think much of the car, in fact they like their Avanza 1.5G A/T more than this one. Like what most people say here, maintenance is not cheap, fuel consumption is not commendable especially considering the engine size, though it is a pretty solid car by itself.

Hehe.

    deawoo lanos for 1.6 LS
    deawoo lacetti fo 1.8 LT

    yes deawoo parts,
buy and sell ako for couple of years ng car, yes true yun, yung mababa ang reselling price ng optra.
compare sa asian car na same year.

for 2005 model car for 210k i think wala na yatang kahelera sa price and years, kia meron.
toyota 2005 let say vios may 300k up payan, ford lynx is like same price, sentra gx halos kapareho din,

manual nya is pwede mo ng makuha sa net. yung actual wiring diagram from paint to wiring to, trouble codes, etc.

    wala namn bayad yun.

    good luck...

if you have extra moolahs for maintenance/repair cost, then go ahead. Pag wala, better think twice.

Just like before when I bought a 1996 Lancer Gli...

Please help! Need advise on chevy optra 2005 model mt
