I am an online seller usually selling retail items and arranging personal deliveries or meetups within Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna and Cavite as a sideline to complement my meager office salary and as libangan. I enjoy driving to places I haven't been before using my road atlas and lately, my Osmand android application to deliver my orders. Either by scooter, multicab dropside or by car.

I have not tried shipping to far regions/provinces or abroad. But I got a text inquiry from a buyer who wants to order from the province. Usually, I would think of it as a scam buyer but if I am to entertain the thought of shipping 100 pcs of orocan sized drums to Bacolod to this buyer. I only stock about 3 units of the item I'm selling.

How would I be able to accomplish the following:
    a) How do I make sure that I get paid. What would be my terms to get him to pay for the orders and shipping without me having to shelve that wedding fund or life savings?
    b) How would I go about shipping considerably big sized items to the province. (like 100 pcs of orocan drums or something similar)

I may also think about asking additional questions as we go along the way. But then again, I could let katamaran take over and decline the order. lol...

If I'm able to pull this off, it would considerably reduce if not totally pay off my credit card debts. And maybe, this libangan would turn out as a new career. Any thoughts on the simulated transaction?

full payment muna. pa-deposit mo sa iyong bank account

    no full payment = BS

inquire at shipping lines na meron biyahe Bacolod (Sulpicio, Negros Navigation, etc)

or ask the buyer what shipping line he prefers (kung sanay siya sa ganyan transaction he should be familiar with stuff like that)

    dapat freight collect

btw, hingian mo din ng pang arrastre

also buyer should also shoulder cost of transporting the items from your place to port of Manila (syempre you're gonna hire a truck)

Saktong 100 ang order niya? 100 is such a generic invented and convenient number

    Smells like a scam

If he wants to dp 50% first send him 50 cans first

Shipping to visayas is quite tricky, sometimes are no direct routes. But Bacolod is a popular location so it shoudnt be so hard.
    Actually its a roro route

Sounds like a scam. At best, you can ask your buyer to pickup the items as you do not ship long distance.

    Who is your buyer?

I can do a check here if you want. I am in Bacolod right now. What are the goods that you will be shipping?

As always...it has to be pay-first before delivery. He does't accept sa term mo, then don't procede.

Normally, it would mean that buyers trust you more....and not you as a seller trusting him.

Payment options like PAYPAL is a good solution if you have one and buyer also have one. Merun nga lang surcharge/service fee sa iyo ang PAYPAL.

Boss we have the same side line, though i am handling electronic items such as iphone speakers, computer aprts and accesories and etc. my target market are places not within the manila area, kasi dami na kalaban at kacompetensya at minsan buraot yung bumibili.

anyway, BTT, if you have the product on stock go to air21, LBC or etc to have the estimated amount of shipping cost, then multiply it by the number of orders.

Once you have that, you may go back to the buyer and provide him the total cost, order cost plus shipping cost.

then have him deposit the full amount to your bank account. once confirmed, you may ship the item.

The main issue here is the trust of both the seller and buyer, i suggest you also provide the buyer critical information about you or your business bank details for their comfort.

I replied to your PM na. So if you're selling the above, what is with the 100 Orocan drums? Ceres Tours can accomodate your cargo if its not that huge a volume. Ikakarga lang sa luggage compartment ng bus yan (underneath). I just dont know how much charge nila.

Ironing clothes Cathy, one needs to put burning charcoal inside for the whole thing to heat up, just like an electric iron.

when you pay the electric bills and find out how much of it does the ironing of the clothes take, i bet you'll change your point of view.

In the big cities, no its not practical. But in the provinces, those are still being used. We actually have one here sa bahay, and its being used too.
