I just want to know if any of you guys received a "friendly" call from a credit card collection agency for a particular CC company in Libis?

I just got one this morning, actually it's for my cousin, but this guy's super arrogant tone turned into a verbal skirmish that blew up into a full blown shouting match! I can't believe these people! For a measly amount of money (P 6,200) na na-delay ng payment, babastusin na nila mga tao kahit hindi yung principal ang concerned.

At first na high blood ako kasi it takes so little effort to push the wrong buttons in me.

Actually, these losers (mga contractual lang mga ito at hindi real employees ng bank) can't get real jobs kasi they can't pass squat in American based call centers. Mga rejects din ito ng Family First and credit card sales kasi mga walang abilidad.

This is not to offend collection agents of ALL credit card companies, just this particular bank in Libis.

sir pwede kayo gumawa ng formal complaint...ilagay nyo ho doon yung details: name of the person, time, date, conversation...kapag valid po ang complaint niyo at na-prove na that person mishandled the situation, tanggal sa trabaho yung tumawag sa inyo.... HTH

This is the Philippines, the customer is numero zero.

As for that bank in libis, malaki talaga ang ulo ng mga tao diyan. Kaya I never transact with them.

I don't know kung we can call it a bless, na sa CC ay 3.5 percent lang tayo dito sa MM.

Actually, kahit Citibank makakakuha ka ng ganun, but you have to report that to the bank talaga since big companies like Citi, HSBC, etc utilize collection agencies to do the collection and di nila monitored yun... Aguilar & Aguilar (what Citi uses) were notorious for those threatening and offensive collection dialogs...

according to a "source' bad debts from cards are really, really high the past year... di raw talaga marunong mangutang mga users...

think of it this way... if you've paid your share of the debt, they wouldn't have called you in the first place...

Point taken. But it is no excuse for rude behavior and foul language towards the RELATIONS of the principal. I didn't owe them anything, my cousin does, but they still gave me the 3rd degree twice in the morning and again at 3pm where four collections agents in a conference call took turns intimidating, threatening and cursing me.

Anyway, because of this thread and my email broadcast (w/ sound clip), a representative of this bank called my cousin trying to do same damage control.

I know that secretly recorded phone conversations are not admissable in court but it would be very admissable in the media. And they realize this! The press will have a field day with this recording. Kasi puro sabi-sabi lang ang kabastusan ng mga collection agents nila but not anymore. Now this will be hard evidence. Pinarinig ko nga sa mga friends ko and they told me ganyang-ganyan ang mga kabastusan ng mga mga collection agents.

I can only speculate on how much this bank is gonna spend for damage control.

try nyo irecord yung conversation, you can have a really strong complaint kung ganun, pag tumawag ulit, ask for their names specifically, jot down the time and day of their call... most of those "collectors" may utang rin sa ibang banko hehe...

I did! I've recorded all our conversations on my PC except the first call but including the 3pm call (16 mins) and the succeeding calls after that (6 wav files).

Anyway, one of the creeps called again yesterday morning, and as he was about to resume the previous day's tirade, sabi ko "Pare, sandali lang, pakinggan mo 'to" and I let him hear the recording of our "friendly" 3 pm banter.

After the recording stopped, nag dead air for about 30 seconds, he completely turned into a different person (parang the Hulk in reverse!). He suddenly profusely apologized for his "staff's" behavior and intermitently shifted from denying it was them and apologizing. Pabalik balik yung pinagsasabi nyang hindi raw sila yon but then apologizing for his staff's behavior! And I got all of this in a recording again!

I think Visa ran a commercial for this:

    "Pentium PC $ 300
    Fax/voice modem $ 30
    Answering machine software $ 15
Hearing some creep's voice turn up 3 octaves higher.....PRICELESS!"

Saludo ako sa iyo Papi... now you can do something about it... :D

Send it to Raffy Tulfo... dapat ka lang makabawi sa mga kabastusan nila!

Yep, secret recordings may not be admissible in court, but it'll surely get the morons who are responsible fired! Sa panahon pa ngayon, the best revenge is to take away someone's job!

I already called the the bank's hotline (yung matitinong phone officers) pinarinig ko sa kanila yung recording (and that call was recorded by me AND the banks hotline) and I clearly told them that they have a potential media disaster in their hands. Although I do not intend to blackmail them and ask for millions, I just told them that my cousin will still pay his obligation but I want the bank to terminate these four clowns and publish their notices of termination (with pictures) in three major broadsheets. Anything less than that and the sh1t will really hit the fan! The phone officer, although shocked and apologetic, just promised me that I will receive a call-out from their head but as of now wala pa.

I am really exercising Job's patience and staying my hand from sending it to the media. First, some of my friends in this bank are requesting me huwag daw. Second, I know if these recordings fall into the wrong media hands, baka sila naman magblackmail ng bangko for millions e simply lang naman ang hihingin ko. Any way the coin lands, these clowns are going to reap what they have sown.

    Saan ba nila pinagpupupulot yan?

ratio ng isang credit card company ay dapat they should
stop or suspend that Bank from issuing credit cards to
new cardholders, di ba?

Collectors always sound rude. Trabaho nila iyon. I believe that s how they are trained too - to sound intimidating. Collection agencies really like people especially those with strong personality. It is just up to the individual to present himself.

I had my share with a big phone company dito. To make a long story short, hey were charging us over $1000 in long distance calls [to the Phil] were I was only willing to pay $250. They even threatened to report me to the credit records which I said I'll sue them. They called us several times and I told them repeatedly not to call back until they agreed to settle the amount to my terms. Whenever they say no, I just hang up the phone. So far they haven't called for over a year.

One thing funny pala on one of their calls I said I was willing to pay the whole amount but in my terms. And the lady was elated and said yes. Then I said, "Okey, I'll pay a penny a month until the whole thing is paid. But if I die, the whole thing dies with me". Then she hang up...
