richard! you're going to put this up in aussie? or here in RP?

be wary of the location of the shop..alam ko pag sobrang lapit sa school bawal yata.

since technical inclined ka na naman sa computers. wala ka ng problema sa pag setup.

    Goodluck pare.

check nyo muna kung gaano sya kalapit sa school, especialy when you're gonna offer gaming or internet. there's this rule about entertainment establishments being a minimum distance away from schools, lalo't elementary at high school pa yan(pag college/university mas wala cgurong problema). all it takes is a few parents complaining to the school, and they can technically shut you down

punta ka muna sa cityhall kung saan nasasakop ang pagtatayuan mo ng shop...alamin mo kung may city ordinance sila tungkol sa mga internet cafe, lan shops...may ilang municipalities na mahigpit dito lalo na sa mga nago offer ng lan game at online games...mas nasa safe side ka kung di ka muna mag offer ng games...offer ka na rin ng ibang services like scanning, fax, printing, cd burning, digi photos, cellphone load at kung nasa upper class ang market mo magandang mag offer ka na rin ng food and drinks....kung iiwanan mo ang business mo it would be better to get a pc rental management software para di ka dayain ng magbabantay...

buhay pa ang AMDG, kumuha na rin ako ng software sa kanila noon...now they expanded they products and services, nagpapautang na rin yata sila ng mga hardwares ngayon...papatayin sila ng online games kapag di sila nagdagdag ng products and services eh...

AMDG is still around but not as active, more because the core games they have are old and nearly obsolete already.

10 machines? How much are you going to charge per hour? And what location? Is your rent that cheap? Aircon?, etc...

Anyway, I also have two shops but I am selling my branch in Manila (very near SM Manila) P350K for the store with 30 computers, aircons, etc.

A few thingies you might want to know about pc rentals shops would be the local ordinances regulating such shops, which would include grade school & high school kids playing inside the shops during school hours is prohibited and then there are some areas which have curfews hours during the night.

And then there is the problem of PC parts theft (stolen HDD, memory, video card, mouse, etc). Maintence, cost of internet connection, electricity, consumables like ink, toner, mouse.

sir does it mean na ok lang na hindi na ako kumuha sa amdg?..diba sila
yung nagpapasara ng mga shop once na nahuli ka nila pag hindi
    license sa kanila yung netgame?

between 20-25P/hr..location is near the public highschool and elementary school..yung location sarili ko na so wala ng rent..

sir bakit nyo binibenta?..thats cheap for 30machines..ano specs?
sa computation ko for a highend machines. it will cost me 25k/machine

.hmm ok..pero may mga netshop na din dun sa area so im thinking that
    there will be no problem.

hmm ok...small netshop lang naman yung plan ko and ako mismo ang
    magbabantay...
any guestimate how much will i pay for my electricity(with aircon) and internet connection per month? let say im running 10hrs/day with only 10 machines

    thanks in advance

if you dont plan to have games like half-life, counterstrike, warcraft, starcraft and diablo... you would be fine without AMDG's game license. But these are still being played by some customers even up to now (even if not as often as before) so you might as well get some licenses. The good thing is I think AMDG is selling their games (the ones I mentioned above) at a discount these days.

well, you still have to assume "rental cost" when you compute you overhead even if its just a small sum like P6000.

only 10 units are new (AMD Athlon XP 1800+ & 2000+ with gf4 & fx5200 vid cards), the rest are relatively old (Pentium III 667 & 800 mhz units with TNT2 M64 vid cards). Also the monitors are also "old" (15 inch).

its still good to make sure of the local ordinances. With the way local governments act, its a wise pre-caution.

but you cannot be there all the time (unless you want to live out the next 2 years inside the store).

My guess your electrical bill would be around P10K a month. but that could vary especially if you conserve on the aircon's use. A slightly warmer thermostat setting (24C) can save a few pesos as compared to setting it cooler (20C).

pwde singit ng question na rin.

is it necessary to buy original windows cd for each computer? sabi kasi nila bawal daw sharing.
