Friends, anybody here know where to buy young mud crabs for farming and fattening?

    Mud crab = alimango.

Supplier, preferably somewhere in batangas, bulacan, or thereabouts.

    Ponds are in Lian, batangas.

    Thanks for any info.

Sir, if ever na may makuha kayo. Check ninyo kung bulik or pulahan. hindi kasi kaagad makikita kapag maliliit pa semilya.

Hi, yes I know there are suppliers in the Bulacan area, nakita ko sa OLX, and Bicol too. We are still repairing the ponds.

Is your crab business still existing?

Newbie lang sir sa crab. Just tried it last year. Shrimps, bangus and tilapia usually laman ng farm.

Mahal daw ngayon sir. Parang 11.50 per piece. Ga-langaw na size.

Right now sir palay lahat. After harvest pa kami makakapag-lagay ng crab.

I see. Estuarine environment pala talaga ang pwesto mo, maganda yan.

Actually first venture ko rin into crabbing, kaya I'm just setting up a 500 sg/m trial pond, will stock way below stocking density to lessen cannibalism. If everything goes well, I might fix the remaining ponds within the property and go into crabbing fulltime.

Saan ang 11.50 per piece na price? Bulacan area?

    mahirap ba mag alimango?

madalas ko makita is aquaponics. nagaalaga ng tilapya then yung ipot ng tilapya is used as fertilizer sa lettuce.

Yep!

and yep kelangan clean estuarine environment. Luckily yun area ng farm eh controlled by government. Bawal factories, babuyan, etc. Last nov and dec. Twice na nagbaha. Tangay yun 700k ko na worth na puhunan. Buti na lang naani na yun mudcrab. Yun supplier ko inintay niya magpasko to fetch a better price. Mas magaganda pa alimango niya sa akin. Tangay lahat ng baha.

Yep actually sir yun farm namin may cycle. Not because gusto namin but yun pasok kasi ng tubig ng irrigation. So dec to april freshwater. That is time na nakakapag-palay kami. May to oct eh brakish na so palaisdaan siya. So laging mataba ang lupa. Usually after 2 months saka mo pa lang augment ng pakain whether feeds, trashfish, tinapay etc...
