Ako sa trust fund or dollar bonds.

i would put
1/3 in US Treasuries (lower return but virtually risk-free)
1/3 in a combination of global stock indices (e.g. the US Dow/S&P500, the Japanese Nikkei and the Euro FTSE) so i can have the better long-term returns from stocks pero medyo diversified.
tapos yung 1/3 pang "sugal" ko - put it in some high risk but also super high return investments - like investing in a particular hot tech stock, or being a silent partner in a business venture, etc. (note: hindi ako pupunta sa casino)
i wouldn't invest in currencies or commodities kasi wala akong alam dun
Ako maghahanap ng kamaganak o kakilala na nasa military - yung may AMSLAI or AFSLAI. Nasa 18-20% pa ata interest rates nila per annum with dividends given every quarter. The rest I will just keep as dollars sa bank - at least the dollar is a more stable currency.
and not much puhunan.. iniisip ko sana.. food smtn eh.. hehe
same age kayo ng friend ko... same problem... hehehehe... dati i always ask myself that question... tapos ive realized, gagawin kong business kung ano yun mahal kong gawin...
advise ko lang, dapat yun business mo, yun gusto mo at mahal mong ginagawa... tipong gagawin mo kahit lugi... there would be lot of tough times, in fact more tough times rather than good times... pero andun yun excitement... dun mo makikita yun passion and love mo for the work... yun pera susunod na lang yun...
Received a text from my wife that someone offered her some investment in Euro bond with the rate of 3%. Is this also good investing? Iniisp ko parang loss ka agad dito since you need to convert your dollar sa euro to invest.
half it trustfund or time deposit, half i-invest ko sa negosyo...but I also agree with m54 ideas...
thanks for adding value to this discussionOriginally Posted by Tacoma_34
i would put them in ROP bonds... pretty good yield. getting to be more and more stable. hoping from a credit upgrade this year.

AFPSLAI is a very good idea too. gusto ko nga maki-ride dito e kung may kamag-anak lang ako.
I invested in stock market before when our market index was still hovering close to 3,000 points. Max gain I've got was 45K in 2 days. Pero nabawi rin cause I bought some stocks that I ended up keeping for the long term kasi biglang nag crash ang market. Lugi kung ibenta. But one oppurtunity na kumita sana ako ng malaki sa stock market is when I bought 10M worth of shares of an oil player (Omico) for 0.003 cents/share. Observe ko kasi that time, malimit nilang pag laruan. I kept it for 2 months pero walang activity, naging impatient kaya I sold the shares. A month after I sold the shares, naging active sya uli and the price per share has gone up to 0.045 cent/share. Di ko pa time to hit the jackpot..he..he..heOriginally Posted by Chip
AFPSLAI's deposit ceiling has dropped to around 3million. Also, interest has gone done from a high of 22% to around 18% or lower this year. It's a good investment, though, and you have the option of receiving the dividends quarterly. I know someone who's getting 250k a month in dividends. :D
25k dollars=1.3million
I'd put 500k pesos in AFPSLAI, and 500k in various long term time deposits at different banks. I'd consider investing the 300k in a small business or food franchise. Buy and sell is a bit risky, and I don't want the money to sit around too long. But heck, I could just use that money to fix the house and make a dp on a second car for my wife.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
