ixus 400 meron ako. kaso yung dreaded e-18 error ang problema. Had mine fixed sa binilan ko. Okei na sha ngayon, yung quality of pix is superb. Madaming functionalities. Battery consumption is fine.
a70 is good as well, madami manual function.

I have the Canon S400 (aka Ixus 400)... what is that dreaded e-18 error that you've mentioned??? so far i haven't encountered anything...
chua_riwap: what's the Canon EOS 300D ??? I've never come across that here in the states...
I'm going to get a dSLR in a few days... I'm thinking about the Canon EOS 10D 6.3 megapixels (MSRP 1.5k USD no lens)... Canon EOS Digital Rebel 6.5 megapixels (MSRP 999 USD w/ lens)
or the Nikon D100 6.31 megapixels (MSRP 1.5k USD no lens)...
-------------------
if you guys are interested in reviews of Digital Cams and dSLR's... check out this site. Very informative and it links to this search engine that states all the prices for numerous online stores/retail stores that have the given product with very good prices... sometimes hundreds of dollars off the MSRP.

need4speed,
Canon EOS 300D(Asina Name) is the same sa Canon Digital Rebel(US name). Sa Sapan iba rin ang tawag nila...di ko lang maalala
Tikoyman,
kung gusto mo maliit na digital still camera, yun tipong point and shoot, tingnan mo rin yun Casio Exilim EX-Z3 (3.2mp). Around 21K ata 'to.
kung gusto mo naman ng may manual controls maganda yun Canon EOS300D (6+ MP). Around 60K and price nito dito sa Pinas with lens na yun. Tingnan mo rin yun Olympus Camedia c-740UZ or 750UZ (with 10x optical zoom)
I have a nikon 4300 and canon ixus V3, both are ok..... ang napansin ko lang is mas loger ang battery life ng canon, I brought the 2 cameras with me 2 months ago s singapore, ubos na batt ng nikon pero yun canon hinde pa rin naglolow batt, almost same lenght of time ang pag gamit sa 2

canon e18 has something to do with the gears of the lens when retracting or opening.

I'm considering Canon Powershot A70 3.2MP(Php 17K), Nikon Coolpix3100 3.2mp(Php 18k) at Sony cybershot DSCP72 3.2MP( Php19K)...
kino-compare ko pa poang mga features nila....
