lots of people are affected if the exchange rate depreciates...
and lots of families too are affected if the exchange rate appreciates since most filipino families now have a member of their family as an OFW.

ang nakakataka neto, even though the exchange rate appreciates, the ordinary filipino cannot really fully realize its impact.

OFW po ako. Malaki na nabawas sa monthly take ko. Kala ko mas gaganda ang lagay ng mga bilihin, dahil naga-appreciate ang Peso against the USD. Pero baligtad ang nangyayari. Pataas pa ang mga presyo.

    Talo talaga!

It Will Really Become A Big Impact If Peso Continue To Appreciate.if That's The Case There Is No Point Working Abroad.

In simple terms, the exchange rate appreciation is not enough to negate by the still artificially high oil price in the world market.

the USD has weakened across the board vs many major currencies, most notably the EUR, INR and GBP. so much of it is a US economic issue (in my mind, mostly because of worsening personal and commercial debt situations and uncertainty about interest rates).

it may also be that the peso is strengthening as well, but all the key indicators show that it is a dollar problem.

my investments are well-diversified across different currencies, but my personal income is in dollars. to hedge against my risk, since i believe that the dollar will continue to get worse, i am increasing my positions in the Euro, foreign markets (wala bang hot tip sa PSE? ) and traditional dollar hedges like gold.
