Office network "professional setup" etc? Business owners? Help please.

I hope that businessmen here who had a computer network done by professionals or IT companies could chime in.

I have a limited set of knowledge when it comes to networking PC's. I could only setup a basic peer-to-peer network of 5-8 PC's. Beyond that especially with the addition of numerous servers, I get really lost especially now that I'm doubling in as a working student so I don't have the time to study networking further by myself.

Our business is growing and we would have 16-20 PC's by the end of the year. We'll be needing a setup with Database Sever for POS and Accounting, File Server and hopefully, a Web Server.

May mga offers na kami ngayon kaya lang medyo nakakalito at saka mahirap pumili. I would like to hear from you about your experiences with some IT companies that offer these services.

Sino rito yung may experience na sa mga companies na nag-offer ng ganitong services? Sana may feedbak din kayo doon sa mga "established/branded" at doon na rin sa mga "discrete."

Sana rin may technical support. Please tell me your recommendations.

The way I see it, you want a computer network with servers right? Marami ka dapat i-consider bro, not only with the computer network. Actually the network should work with your servers like yun file server, database server etc kasi kung hindi magkakanda-leche-leche ang mga servers nyo at pati na rin mga programs. Fine tuning programs is way harder than fixing networks. I suggest you hire a person that will maintain the network and an especialist for the software your company would be using lalo na para sa database server and accounting programs. hindi kasi static ang policies ng accounting. pabago-bago yan depende sa company saka sa BIR so hindi applicable ang off the shelf program (unless meron kayo taga customize). Just a reminder, dapat mag-compromise lagi yun network sa mga software na pinapatakbo nyo kung gusto nyo masulit mga pinupurchase nyo na programs kasi kung hindi eh para ka nagtatapon ng pera para sa software na di nyo na mapakinabangan

I contracted out a group from tipidpc before. these are people who sideline as network installers, yun tipong umaakyat ng ceiling, naghihiwa ng tiles to conceal wires. they are well-equipped kasi yun din trabaho nila sa company. sige check ko ulit yun calling cards kasi 2k3 pa yun eh
