In light of our current economic situation, What do you guys think is the reasonable Monthly Net Salary of a Household of Four with 2 young kids?
This should be exclusive of tax and assuming no Home Rental and Car Mortgage.

Thanks in advance for you inputs.

with two kids? nowadays to have a decent means of living just above the survival 3-meal-per-day indicator, the husband and wife should have a total income of 45k (1000 USD) for the basic food clothing shelter plus education and pay the utility bills, rent/morgage and in my opinion - a modest car...

pag dyan sa NCR, dapat 50k net for a decent comfortable quality of life.

pag sa provinces/small cities naman, 30k sobra sobra na.

For me eto ang breakdown ng standards ko pag decent w/ 2 young kids.

    Per month:

    Grocery and Market: 14k
    Utilities: 8800 (electricity - 5500, water - 750, mobile - 1600, telephone w/ broadband 1750)
    Transportation (you and wife): 6000
Bus service (wala na akong idea sa ngayon): 4k estimate
Baon ng Kids: 2000 (50 each)
Tution Fees: 10000 (prepare 10k each month kung 60k each ang tuition ng anak mo)
Preventive Maintenance ng Car: 1k a month
    Labas/Pasyal: 3k
    -----------------------------
    Total: 49600

Grand TOTAL (before life insurance expense)
Last but not the least.... savings:
    49600 + 10% = 54560 // at least dapat ito net.

    Pag ideal naman ito ang net: 49600 + 20% = 59520

So iyong sa itaas wala pa dyan ang life insurance. Magbabago iyon pag may life insurance kayo. Actually marami pang dapat ilista pero somehow yan iyong basic. Pwede pang makatipid, one is by slashing the mobile phone bill.

Kung sa bandang north ka nakatira, mas mura ang cost of living IMO. Rent, food, school are all cheaper though lesser din siguro ang average wage rates.

Nag aarala na. This coming school year prep na sya. I did not include school expenses sa monthly kasi kinukuha namin yun sa bonuses namin and for now, once a year naman kami magbayad. Mahirap talaga pagkasyahin ang P60,000 dito sa NCR for my family size, with house amortization. Pigil na pigil sa mga dine out kaya sa tingin ko para considered Decent or Comfortable living, dapat nasa P100K.
