Side Mirror anti theft "cage"

I dont know if thats the correct description. san ba makakabili nun? yung nilalagay sa side mirror na may padlock? its for our Corolla GLi. thanks

I suggest you have your side mirrors etched nalng with your license plate. More pleasing to the eye than a cage. I believe that is a good deterrent against side mirror theft. Who would want to buy a side mirror with a license plate etched from a different car anyway? :-)

I've seen sidemirrors wrapped in a nylon net. Its not foolproof but would work for most casual theft of sidemirrors and doesn't look that bad as compared to cages.

or do as i did, remove the mirror then put superglue on the plastic frame then put it back again. have had the experience twice already where i was passing through araneta avenue, sa stop sign at the corner of e rodriguez. 2 a$$holes tried to "pitik" my side mirror but they could not remove it. tawa lana ako sabay baba ng window tapos tutok ng bengbeng hehehe!

kahit sa parking minsan nadatnan ko ang car nag-sound ang alarm. tapos sabi sa akin ng guard may nag-try daw pitikin yung side mirrors ko.

only downside is, pag pinilit talaga e pati yung mounting masisira kaya palit ng buo, di pwede yung mirror lang. but the thieves don't want a broken mirror so they will not do that naman siguro, unless mainis sila hehe!

Use tsikot search function and look for mirror etching, lalabas yung contact number at kung sino gagawa.

Tumaas na yung price, huli kong nakita Php400.-/pair of mirrors na. Pero sikat na rin, dami kong nakikitang gawa nya nakakatabi ko pag traffic. Ibang fonts kasi ang gamit nya unlike sa AAP na maliit at manipis.

sir, gaano kalaki yung text pag pina etch yung plate number? sa lens ba mismo? baka kasi mapitik pa rin ng mga hoodlum pag di pansin e. di naman nila siguro ikakabit uli for sure yung lens pag nakitang may plate number. twice na akong nakuhanan e. kahit peke na kinabit ko, pinatos pa rin e. takot akong i-glue e. baka mapwersa, mas mahal ang gastos.

Apart from the etching, make sure you park in a well lit area. Some thieves will take the side mirror without looking whether there's etching or not, or they can't see it because it's dark.

Happened to me. Kinuha rin yung etched side mirrors ko. Siguro nung umaga na lang niya nakita. Hehe di na rin niya mabebenta yun.

I think the Araneta area is known for that. I Was living in the area when my side mirrors got swiped twice maybe at dawn or late at night.

ung sa padlock ok lang pag naka park ka. kasi talagang mas mainit sa mata pag walang driver e. saka hindi ka naman makikita kaya ayos lang kung makitang may padlock kotse mo. hehehe. tapos di tanggal na lang ung cage pag byabyahe ka na. hehehe. problema mo na lang pag may pumitik habang nasa trapik ka.

i am still living in araneta so my old car's mirror hasn't been replaced since it was stolen 3-4 times na even with a security guard outside our gate. The only way to stop these practice is to kill the market for these stolen goods. I thought fencing stolen goods was a crime. Eh, most of the bangketa shops with side mirrors and wheel caps are stolen if they are not being sold as brand new.

I think he used 40pt. font based from MS Word. Yes, sa ibabaw ng mirror ang etched side.

etched mirrors look best... wag mo na lang tanggalin sa side mirror housing pag nagpagawa ka...sa akin kasi nabasag ko nung ibinalik ko dahil mas gusto ko mapadali yung trabaho ni mang francis...ayun napadoble gastos pa tuloy ako...tatakpan niya naman yung side ng kotse mo bago siya magsimula ng proseso....

nakakita din ako ng cage dito sa may singalong, the thing is parang pwedeng hugutin haha kasi un cage niya hindi nagcurve paliit dun sa may arm nya na nakakabit sa door... basta parang nakaclamp lang siya... natawa din ako nung nakita ko,i think DIY din yun kaya ganun itsura

mine was etched but was stolen in broad daylight at a very busy road (nasa harap pa ng petron)...ewan ko ba!
