Anyone installed rearview mirror with integrated dashcam/revcam monitor?

Which brands are good? So far, I can see Anytek, Remax and there are so many models under each brand. Plus a lot of China-generic ones.

There are variants that have the monitor placed on either left side, center side, or right side. Which one feels right?

Good and bad feedback about your installed rearview mirror with monitor would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Nice one!
Is the monitor only activated when in reverse? All mirror when moving forward?

    Thanks bro!

Sa previous vehicle ko nag DIY install ako ng similar na dash/reverse cam. Mga 3k ata bili ko nun (or baka napamahal pa ako for its feature). Ang gusto ko lang dun is yung monitor is nasa right most ng mirror so di masyado istorbo pag tumingin ka sa rear view mirror. Also pwede mag cycle sa mga monitors (front only, rear only, front main rear sub or rear main front sub).
Now the bad part. Parating bumabalik sa defualt ang menu text which is chinese. Pag night driving di maganda ang recording. Yung recording din which is the most important part ay hindi consistent, once kami muntik na accidente pero pag check ko ng video afterwards wala yung time mismo na muntikan na kami pero yung before and after na time andun. Then binangga ako sa likod ng motorcycle pag check ko ng video same thing din wala yung video nung pag bangga, ang nakita ko lang is after the collision na. Parang masyado mahaba siguro ang interval/gap between the recordings.

So my advice wag bumili ng masyadong mura lalo na yung mga brand na kahit website or costumer service ay wala.

lightweight lang naman sya, halos no effect sa OEM rear view mirror ko.
and it's been 3 years na at wala pa naman nagiging problema.

yes, saw those at 168...different models with diff prices. From 1.5k , 2k, 2.5k. When I asked what’s the diff, syempre yung 2.5K daw ang pinaka malinaw .

I was tempted to get one , but my concern was installation.. I might get the electronics install part, But I wouldn’t know how to hide the wires neatly. I want the wires to be as hidden as possible. (Btw, my main purpose is for rear camera, not so much front cam. so wires talaga need to go all the way back and I don’t even know where/how to install the camera. sa license plate ? Eh wala pa nga Atong permanent Locense plate ..)

Anyone knows any shop/installer in Evangelista, Pasay? (And how much )Alam ko Kasi need mo bumili muna sa mga shops then they have their installer guys install it.

I wouldn’t mind if they offer the same varied options as in 168, syempre papatong sila konti. but most shops carry their own (more expensive) brands, and you have fewer options.

yung power ba, connect sa cig lighter? Can it be rigged directly sa power? Parang Masagwa Kasi power cable is permanently in front of you, plus I only have one socket and I need it for phone charging.

Any advice on this area, mga boss?

Ganito ang dash cam ko. Nakakabit sya sa rear view mirror. Front and rear sya, then yung rear cam, nagiging reverse camera din pag nag-reverse ka. Ang kaso nasira na yung reverse cam nung saken. Nakakabili ba ng separate na rear cam lang for this kind of dash cam? Thanks

If may Video In yung rear view mirror, you can just buy any universal reverse cam and connect to it.

Any reputable shop can do this for you.
I suggest you go to your "suking" accessories shop or find one, and just ask for them for a "clean" install.
You of course would need to pay extra for this, just make sure they use plastic trim removal tools and they can hide the wires pretty easily under your carpet/trim.
For the power part, again, any reputable shop can do this for you. Just ask the shop to either: a.) wire the dash cam to the accessories setting so that it only functions when you turn your keys and turns off when you shut your car or b.) if the dash cam has a motion sensor function(turns on when the car moves a little[good for hit and runs while parked]) you can ask the shop to hard wire the dash cam to the battery, or the car horns. Any good installer will be able to take apart the cigarette lighter tip and wire it directly to the car's loom for you. viel gluck.

Do you think it can be replaced by any universal reverse cam? Thanks!

yes, just make sure the plug/connector that comes with the new camera should match what's in with the rear view mirror/monitor's video input port.
