Car alarm - remote got wet

Mga sir, my car remote alarm got wet kanina, nahulog ko sa inidoro(don't mind asking kung paano nangyare. hehe). oo medyo panget yung pangyayari, lightning lab car alarm siya, nung pagkakuha ko sa inidoro using a stick umilaw yung kulay blue ng steady, what i did was to dry it up through sun heat dito sa office namen, malapit sa window. After 30 mins nawala yung steady blue light ang prob ko ayaw gumana nung alarm ko, kapag bubuksan ko yung car mag aalarm siya ng malakas e hindi ko naman mapatay yung alarm dahil sira yung remote nung alarm ko.. kahit start ko yung car naka-alarm pa rin. ano po kaya pwede kong gawin? thank you!

open the remote and let it air dry for several hours and also wipe dry the battery and blow hard before closing it again....kung di magwork padala muna sa office mo yung spare remote key mo kung meron...

nangyari na din sa akin yan. naiwan ko sa pants yung remote alarm. pag fill ng tubig sa washing machine biglang nag alarm yung kotse. late ko na narealize na nasa pants ko pala at umiikot ikot na sa washing machine.

binuksan ko lang, tanggal battery, air dry. pag salpak ko ng battery tumunog ulit. buti na lang may hair dryer.

Car: Toyota Altis 2003, original factory keyless remote

My remote got into the washing machine recently. After drying and changing batteries, the remote seems to work fine again, because it lights up when buttons are pressed. However, the car does not lock or unlock when the remote buttons are pressed. Does the remote need to be reprogrammed for my car? How do I do that?

I have an older Lovelife Corolla with the same remote reprogramming issue. Any ideas how I can reprogram that one?
