Mga bossing, pls help me choose a good rear mirror type front and back dashcam. Its confusing. Sa Blade, they have Papago Gosafe 790 worth 8.5k with installation. Meron ding Yi Mirror dashcam, around 5k with installation. There is also QCY F11, 10inch mirror dashcam 6k with installation. And some others. I am quite confused which to buy... pls help

For example, Google Maps will have him ride one bike trail the whole way to his destination, but he can save a lot of time by getting off the trail and onto a particular road that I've determined is safe. My brother needs a way to punch in a location on his phone, and then follow a route that I've manually laid out for him. I've been unsuccessful in finding an app that can do this sort of thing. Also using a paper map hasn't worked so far, since my brother struggles to know where he is on the map at any given time.

Just my two cents on rear view mirror dashcams, they tend to vibrate when the car is idling. Even when i have the straps at the tightest setting.

But they do have image stabilization so the recorded videos looks fine.

I'm looking for one to fit above the rearview mirror.

Possibly from amazon.ca with 1080p video.

I dont want something that will be distracting when driving

I got the qcy f11+ installed. It comes with a rear camera as well that works as a backup cam with the lines. Its nice and the vids are clear.

Fortuner lights setup - LED bulbs in stock projectors and Philips essential ult LED in fogs - YouTube
One problem lang talaga is the vibration since diesel fortuner. Malakas vibration especially when in P or N.

Is there any quick fix to this? San ba nakakabili ng mga rubber block?

Or can i just buy a standalone dashcam and use the existing wirings to plug it in para di na mag rewire ulit?

Sir, I already installed a rear view dashcam and, what a coincidence I also have a QCY F11plus and I am very satisfied although it is not perfect... one issue sa akin is yung "license plate no." hindi ko ma-encode ng tama... meron siyang glitch as the touch encoding would make incorrect input... also the G-sensor when set at "normal" is quite sensitive and would record as incidents on driving over humps or the like... but generally satisfied.... Mine is likewise a diesel fortuner 2016... what is a rubber block? what is that for? Does our dashcam QCY F11plus have an ADAS? I do not see any setting on this, or I just don't know where?

Same car tayo but 2020 sakin.

Looking at the rubber block to insert in the middle gap between the rearview mirror and dadhcam to decrease vibrations.

Arent you annoyed sa vibration panero? Hirap ako minsan. Kakaduling din gamitin when theres glare [emoji1787]

I just keep the g sensor off unless i leave the car parked.

I agree with you on the glare issue... since it is new in my vehicle I do some tinkering even while driving and appears to be destructing me during my ride. But in time I would outgrow this habit...hahaha.. I am now annoyed sa vibration... But coming from an Innova gasoline, I would say that my diesel fortuner vibrate more. but I do not see that the vibration affects my dashcam... I find the dashcam quite sturdily attached to my rear view mirror...

Well for me it does not affect the video but when I use the dashcam as my rearview mirror with the screen off, the vibration is very noticeable. Hmm i'll try moving it around a bit baka kaya maayos.

nakadrive na ako sa sov pinalagyan rearview mirror na may videocam. Not worth it.

Pang backing nyo yan eh.

I'm just curious to know if its worth to use a dash cam covering the rear view mirror. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Supposing, the function is only for front view camera, will the screen still serve as rear view mirror effectively? Will it not affect your normal view of traffic behind you since you covered the original rear view mirror?

During night driving, some vehicles behind you distracts your vision due to glare from its headlight. Some rear view mirror have adjustable angle to divert the glare but you can still observe the vehicle behind you. Will the dashcam screen effectively substitute as rear view mirror?

I'm interested on this type dash cam but have some apprehensions how it will work on the actual driving environment.

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. TIA

Ang hirap maghanap ng maayos na dashcam that covers the rear view mirror, especially yung built in yung monitor dun. 1) di ko magamit ng maayos yung rear view mirror during night driving or kapag umuulan. 2) di masyadong malinaw yung real time image/video ng camera. It's trying to do two things at once, and results to poor performance of both.

If I may suggest, dedicated dash cam na lang and reverse camera that's comnected to the head unit. Yan din ang hinahanap ko ngayon. :-)

With this sort of gadget the thing to keep in mind is "you get what you pay for".

I've been in cars with very good rear-view dashcams, and when it works well, it's actually quite good. Good night vision especially if the cam has a built-in infrared illuminator.
It also prevents being blinded by bright lights from the vehicle behind you, because the maximum brightness of light you can get blasted with is limited by the output of the screen.

OTOH I've also been in cars with bad/cheap camera-based rear view mirrors. One had the lens cover made of plastic and it had degraded to where everything was a blurry mess.

An example of a good one:

One comment ko lang with these rear view mirror dashcams is to make sure you have the one for left hand drive vehicles. Some of the ones sold online are for right hand drive (the difference is in the placement of the forward monitor screen dun the unit) If I'm not mistaken, pag for left hand drive, dapat the forward monitor display should be on the right side of the mirror cam.
