Anyone has installed in their SUVs? Mitsu CASA is charging me 45k for this. Nice thing about their installation is one button in the key fob is dedicated for this function (Bale 3 buttons na sa keyfob: lock, unlock, tail gate)

An alternative is Growl, its worth 30k. They will integrate the control to your key fob's unlock button. (4 consecutive presses of unlock will bring up/down your tail gate).

I would prefer the OEM one, kaso mas mahal ng 15k.

If auto tailgate is really useful/important for you then you should go with the casa for the better experience and better warranty(?).

I find the whole auto tailgate waste of money so even for 30k, I wont get it. Since I'll probably wont use it much.

I inquired with Zix. They stopped selling na pala as customers have an issue with drilling.

If it's the same system installed in the GT, then I'd still pick the OEM. Yung extra button alone (if OEM also) is worth the added extra plus designed for the MS pa.

Feeling ko ma overuse agad yung button if you have to press the lock button 3 or 4 times, plus after service and replacement parts for the Growl might be a problem after a few years, di kaya?

Sobrang convenient talaga ng electronic tailgate (or even sliding doors), dati takot ako sa mga ganyan pero natuwa ako when I got to drive my aunt's Sienna. 🤣

For vans like grand starex i think its worth it. Ambigat ng tail gate eh.

    "magaan" is relative.
"it felt magaan in the showroom. why does it not feel magaan now? it's been only a week..."
    heh heh.

After purchase, reality kicks in kaya there you go. Mabigat na. [emoji16]

Saving up for the Growl Gatekeeper for our Grand Starex. Good thing they have one available for the car. I’ve seen their video advert for the Grand Starex.

Pretty nifty feature, I agree. But for 30K di siguro muna. Eventually siguro kakailanganin din namin to, at sana mas mura na sya nun.

While I was enjoying the event, she called and told me na she needed my help urgently. I hurriedly went to her rescue only to find out na hindi nya maisara yung rear door kasi di nya abot sa sobrang taas (+ factor yung incline). We just laughed it out while returning to the event after me closing the door.

Nice to have but not essential.

All these years driving, never needed to add that in the tail gate.

Haha. Siguro once a week lang.

For mont ba yan? No fb ako so wala ako masyado way na icontact sila.

Do they use the extra blank buttons? I think sa GS and Carnival nagbubutas pa yata sila sa dashboard to fit the aftermarket button?

And yes, magbubutas sila sa dashboard which is another thing i dont like.

I guess if you can source and oem “rocker” type button for your car they can make it work for you.

Here is the video that they sent to me. Makikita dyan yung button na gamit nila.
