Fake Garmin Units, are they already in our market?

I've been thinking of buying a Garmin Nuvi GPS preferably there sa Pinas kasi may maps na. Been seeing lots of Garmin Units sa Sulit, wondering if they are original ones or fakes that I should be aware of?

in my opinion lang, mas ok para sakin yung maps ng avt. although yung gadget mismo, mas pangit kaysa garmin. but who cares, mapa ang importante. madalas magupdate

I guess many here cares about if they are getting the genuine product for the price they pay. Yes, map is the most important but how about reliability, stability and durability?

Buy from an authorized distributor.
Not sulit merchants sell fake items (I buy from them), pero kung concern mo yung peke huwag ka sa sulit maghanap. Hanapin mo yung official distributors.

agree.. about durability mukhang tatagal naman sya. pero yung feel nya cheap plastic whereas yung garmin maayos na plastic parang samsung phone. pero maganda talaga navigation ng avt
