AVT GPS Erratic Signal

i have a 1 year old AVT 2 DIN head unit.. but since 2 saturdays ago nawawala yung signal... tapos whole day na hindi babalik, anybody having the same issues? or unit ko lang siguro?

maybe you are in a out of coverage place during that time like in a basement kaya nawawala signal.

hindi po... alam ko naman po basics nung gps... hehe, i have a full signal bar... tapos biglang mag drop.. tapos wala na signal the whole day, one example i was running in sctex, tapos mawawala nalang signal.. i think its my head unit already, or maybe the gps antenna..

I'm using a GPS but not AVT brand. So far hindi ko pa na encounter ung sudden loss of signal. Maybe you could have it check sa AVT dealer mo if the unit is really having a problem.

I have AVT GPS freebies ng toyota pasong tamo ng makabili ako ng innova j vvti last dec 23 2011, model pn301 sya portable lang at ok nman before we have plan to go subic, naisipan kong mag update ng system nitong gps so, meron site akong pinuntahan yung iNAV.com dun nag update ako ng latest software tru download sa laptop ko tapos installed ko sa AVT GPS, at that time na nag travel na kami goin subic (dec 29 2011) 6:30 am nasa comonwealth na kami nun ng biglang nawala signal ng GPS, as in zero hangang sa makarating ako ng sctex, but after DAU exit nag karoon ulit siya ng signal, feeling ko lang baka ng out of signal ang satellite ng oras na yun, kasi ng pauwi na kami (jan 2 2012) from subic back to novaliches ok na signal niya full bar pa nga siya. kala ko nga rin nasira or na jam ang gps ko.

try to update yung GPS mo for more maps and precise details....
sa erratic signal, di natin maiwasan yan since pulluted ng RF signal ang lahat ng area , pwedeng na cut-off lang yan kaya na walan ng signal.
one thing more kung katulad sa kin na built-in battery yung gps mo pag low batt na sya di agad nakakuha ng signal, kaya sakin pag naka sakay na ko sa innova lagi lang sya naka charge sa car cig lighter.

Try to reset.

If it has an external antenna, check if the connector has come undone behind the HU. Inspect also if the cable has been damaged, pinched or cut.

fixed my problem, we replaced the gps antenna.. ayun gumagana na ulit...

It happens from time to time bro.... Sometimes, the unit cannot lock on the satellite signals....

Happened on my 3 Garmin units, bro.... (Checked all of them when one did not function properly, when I was playing with it in our area)....
