bad driver, make sure your headlight has an inner piece like the ones pictured. If not, you have no surface to paint but the actual reflector:

I have a lot of surface to paint

I have a Gen3 paj. btw, shoudn't I disassemble it first before baking? so I don't have to bake everything unecessarily? I only need to bake the outer shell to have the desired effect right?

lastly, I should bake it twice right? two 20 minute sessions for each light?

Don't worry peeps, I'll try to read more on this hehe.... wish me luck. I hope the Mitsu headlights are made of the same plastics as the Subarus!

hmmm.... I only have an electric oven. would it be the same?

I'm not sure if it goes all the way to 350 or so farenheit? I think 250 lang ata.

Might have to go to a friend's house to do my baking.

Any local Pinoy's tried this yet?

    Disassemble bulbs and wires.

Kahit electric oven pwede and 20-min baking for each light to melt the sealant. another 20-min after painting to put it back together.

Saka tama ka, 250deg fah lang ang temp.

Kung meron ka sanang mabibiling surplus na gen3 headlight just to be on the safe side.

Make sure you are quick when separating the headlight assembly.

nga pala, 15-mins ko lang nilagay sa oven yung headlight ko. Mainit yan paglabas kaya it is best to have a friend help you.

hmmm instead of the oven you can also try the heat gun (much faster) or a blow dryer (which will take some time)

BEWARE! not all head lamps are glass some are plastic which can melt easily....can cause u some big moolahs!!! :D

In case you missed it, we we both have plastic headlights and didnt F'd up mine.

Yes, you can use the heatgun as well.

bad driver, keep an eye on the oven. Try to separate the headlights after 10mins in the oven. If the sealant is still hard, put it back another 5mins.

Trust me, it wasnt that hard to do.

kung wala kang heat gun or ayaw mong mag risk sa oven...ito naman ang alternative mong gamit...masakit lang sa kamay he he at nakakapagod...

mazdamazda, I believe pareho lang yan ng smoked headlamps. Tawag naman jan dito sa US, blacked-out headlamps or simply JDM headlamps :bwahaha:

bad driver, puntahan mo na lang yung tinutukoy ni caloyski para wag ka na mag take ng risk. At least experienced na yon.
