Its been said that it provides 80% more light? Check out the product page

    http://www.nam.lighting.philips.com/...tremepower.php

    X-treme Power

Introducing the new world champion in high performance headlamp upgrades. Philips X-treme Power bulbs deliver up to an astounding 80% more light than standard halogens, yet they’re DOT legal and come with the same quality and performance we put into the lighting we sell to OEMs around the world. X-treme Power is a new “must-have” for tuners and high performance drivers.

It's good of you to bring this up. I've been looking for this accessory as a replacement for my stock halogens. The Philips X-treme bulb won "Accessory of the Year" honors abroad.

I hope anyone can direct me to a store/supplier who sells this here in Manila. It's an easy step-up from stock that delivers high improvements in lighting coverage.

yup, this is not HID and yeah, those HID look bulbs looks cool. but has lesser light. Bright but lesser light

ang alam ko kasi Osram Silverstar or Philiips VisionPlus ata yun na ok na ok pang replace sa stock bulbs. Pero nung bumisita ako sa site ng Philips, nakita ko tong mas bagong bulb nila.

imagine 80% more light. saan kaya ito nabibili? Im from Davao nga pala.

Be cautious, baka di kayanin ng oto mo ang heat, a friend of mine told me na it generates more heat enough to burn or meltdown the socket's wire.

The person you quoted did not mention using higher wattage units, but the statement of caution is valid.

These +30/50 type bulbs typically burn brighter with the same given amount of energy used, so the wattage levels remain standard but you get brighter bulbs.

Using overwattage bulbs with plastic reflectors and plastic sockets will surely melt them in due time. Upgrade to ceramic sockets if you can. Use relays with higher gauge wiring too and properly ground them as well. As for the plastic reflectors, I don't know if there's a way to swap to metal reflectors.

When in doubt, don't na lang. Or at best, use maybe 60 or 70W at most for low beam. Keep in mind that headlight assemblies also get dirty over time, it's the best time to clean them out while you're at it. Kung plastic ang lens cover, use a good plastic cleaner. My father has used Meguiars PlastX with good results. I never have to worry about that because our cars have glass lenses and metal reflectors, but it's something I picked up along the way.

Also, don't forget to aim your lights properly. Just a friendly reminder. Brighter lights produce more glare if not aimed properly.

    Salamat sa pag-post...

Pero kawawa naman ang makakasalubong mo... mangangailangan pa ng shades... at mabibilis na kamay (para mabilis maisuot ang shades)
