Sorry for the newbie question. I'm sort of new to this fog lamp/light thing and since my pre-owned SUV has a set of them, but aren't working, are the bulbs replaceable or do i have to buy the set and replace the whole fog lamps? The switch inside the cabin and all wirings look in place.

The brand seems chinese..not those PIAA or other known brand.

yep..but be careful when putting higher wattage bulbs (100watts above) lalo na sa mga unknown brands..they usually crack easily.

You can replace the bulbs in fog/driving lights. Typical wattage is between 35 to 55watts.

Its possible to install higher wattage bulbs like 100watts to give you more light BUT it might be wise to upgrade the wiring with a relay or two. Also make sure to check if the quality if good enough not to MELT with the heat of a higher wattage bulb (some cheap ones do melt).

As mentioned above, most foglights use H3 type bulbs.

It's usually standard to put in an H3 bulb. Madali masira dahil they can easily get wet lalo na yung aftermarket na panget yung pagkagawa minsan nakakapasok yung tubig sa loob. Use 55 watt bulbs and aim them properly!!

They should allow the driver to see the curb or lane markings right in front and to the side of the car.

    if I'm not mistaken, no it's not, i think it's a little bit bigger! ..H? something! H7, H5 ba?

Boy T.: add ko narin: kung bibili ka, look for Osram &/or GE (rare), sa experience of using, mas maliwanag ng konti mga 'to compared to Philips,.. but if you're looking for a rainbow-yellow type one, then Philips All-Weather (55w) is better!

Are Fog Lamp bulbs replaceable?
