lamps under the headlight, legal ba?

i noticed that new vehicles today have built in lamps under the headlight. if these are foglamps are these legal to use? are these like some aftermarket foglamps na 50/65 ang wattage?

if the above is legal, i plan to have aftermarket foglamps installed in my ride, kc my headlights arenot that bright anymore, coz the lenses are discolored already.

They are legal. They are available in a variety of beam patterns and light output. But they are not intended to replace your headlamps. As such, they are called auxillary driving lamps.

Philippine laws state that you can only have a maximum of two and that they should not be above headlamp level. As if naman nasusunod ito.

under philippine laws, the front of the vehicle should only have 2 headlights, and an additional 2 foglamps or driving lamps placed at the same level or below the headlights. anything more than that is illegal.

since most new cars nowadays have quad-headlamps, are these considered as only 2 headlamps?

Quad headlamps are legal as these are still designed to function in conjunction with each other.

Pinaghiwalay lang ang low beam at high beam. They are intended to work as a single unit and is therefore considered only 'one'.

pano kaya kung yung mga owner type jeeps and passenger jeepneys e gumawa ng sariling quad headlamps, yung i-box nila ang 2 pcs of headlamps. legal pa ba ito?
