    a) kung talagang weekend car lang, pwede na yung 10000 kms. make sure you also replace the oil filter by 5000 kms.

    b) ala ako alam dyan.

whether or not it's a weekend car or not, the milage should still be the determining factor in replacing the oil. like it has been said in various other threads, kung mineral oil gamit mo, try to replace it by 5000 kms. kung semi or synthetic then you can shoot for a bit higher lke 10k. pero 15000 is kinda pushing it na.

re: headlights. madami meron sa banawe na replacement headlights for like 2800-3000 for the set na ata. this may be a better way to get the lights back to good shape kasi once umitim na yung plastic there is very little you can do by cleaning to get it back to good shape.

ooops. i forgot to tell you guys, i use fully synthetic motor oil. medyo mahal din kasi yun.actually, i change oil every ten thousand along with the filter. may nabasa ako dati, ang synthetic motor oil daw pwede kahit hanggang 50000 kms. eniwei, sobra na yun. baka may alam kayo kung saan nakakabili ng K&N drop-in type na air filter? i might be needing it soon na rin.

with the conditions here in the philippines (stop and go traffic, heat, humidity, crappy fuel) it's safer to change oil regularly.

just think of it this way, changing your oil is cheaper than changing the engine

I'd suggest you still change oil every 5000km... whether it be synth or not given our road and climate conditions.

The Banawe boys charge around P500 to clean the headlights.

of engine oils, headlights
