Anybody here tried an upgrade from OEM to HIR (Halogen Infrared Reflecting).

Is it cheaper and easier to install?

    Please post pros and cons.

    TIA!

Wala pa ba gumagamit nito dito?

Its cheaper than the HIDs, no need to upgrade wirings, light throw is almost same as HID but no need to have projector headlamps. Malamang di takaw huli ng MMDA.

Kung wala pa gumagamit nito, might as well sell one... hehehe

The originals are being sold by Toshiba.

I think they only come in 9005/9006 bulbs and costs around $30 or more at the mentioned website.

But, these are also available at John Deere (yes, tractors) at $11 a piece. OEM yata sila sa mga tractors

But that puts you into the realm of having HID lamps in a reflector housing, plus the necessary wiring changes. HIR is a plug and play job, since the bulbs are Halogen.

we used to sell them. kaya lang wala ng stock ang supplier. it haas a better beam than HID's. what we usually do is put HID in low and HIR in high para safe sa highway.

May ganito pala. Sana may magpost ng output, mahirap kasi pag ibebase lang sa mga feedbacks o descriptions.
