I'm looking for a HID for the Ford Escape. I want a good one though, the ones that won't annoy oncoming traffic. I just want enough light, not overwhelming. Kailangan ko ata the whole set, bulbs and projectors ba? I'm totally clueless dito sa HID. Budget ko P14k.

I need one because my night vision is not very good.

kung less intrusive, malamang less visibility din...

14k, eksaktong pasok na yan sa projector bi-xenon hid kit. may angel eyes pa.

Have you tried lightening your tint to get "enough"?

HID on low beam, yellow or all weather bulb foglight plus neutral tint on windshield = good night visibility.

Don't spend P14K, just remove your full front windshield tint

If you have poor night visibility problem, spend your P14K to correct your eyes. Opinion lang po.

or go for all-weather na lang. HID is really irritating on the road.

If the original poster says his night vision is poor, then we answer with regards to that problem... kayo, oh... nag-a-assume na nakatint yung harapan...

If night vision is the problem, then HIDs won't help much without a projector conversion.

HIDs in a reflector-style casing will provide a whole lot of foreground light, but will suffer very poor performance at a distance. In other words, nakakasilaw na sa liwanag yung road sa harap mo, di mo pa rin makita yung mga pedestrian na 100 meters ahead.

What you do is go for yellow all-weather foglights... if you can get HID projector-type fogs, all the better, just have them aimed well... or, for maximum brightness, get a projector conversion for your headlights. It's pricey, but nothing beats a good projector system with good distance lighting and a sharp cut-off (in other words, very little light is scattered at an upwards angle). Kaya lang, you'll have to cannibalize your headlights for the conversion. Try getting yellowish or daylight colored bulbs... as bluish HIDs are worse than useless in the rain.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I have an aunt who also suffers from night vision problems. It got worse as she got older. She eventually gave up driving at night.

    Do try all weather bulbs.

Are you color blind? My dad is, and claims to have difficulty with the yellow color of all weather bulbs.

Upgraded to Narva All weather bulbs (600 pesos lang) and mas kita na yung ilaw kahit umuulan at sa asphalt.

Planning to add foglights + all weather bulbs in the future...

using AWB or pure yellow on a separate beam headlight is very useful even if it rains or not.

im using AWB on my altis and you could see the light very clearly.

IMO, use a higher output halogen bulbs are recommened abouv. That's what I did. I also have a full windshield tint and the halogen bulb upgrade really did help. HID? What for? Not too practical and useless if you're driving in the rain or over asphalt covered roads. Also VERY ANNOYING if you put HIDs on a halogen lamp housing.

What if I just keep the halogen but change the fog lamps to 4000k HID? My ride is 2009 Escape. The windshield has no tint.

Light will be scattered din. You don't have windshield tint naman pala. Even with stock bulbs light will be more than enough na lalo if you use low beam and fog lights. Just upgrade to better bulbs and maybe yellow bulb sa fogs that will do na

For me sir, pure high wattage yellow bulb or AWB (all weather bulb) is best for foglamp.

Less intrusive HID recommendation?
