I think the reason HIDs cannot be used a flasher is because the system needs time to "warm-up" to operating brightness.

Bro I am not asking for you to get a retrofit ok? I know people need better lighting perfomance for their cars and that is normal but we have to consider how our upgrades can affect other motorists. Using pnp hid kits on stock halogen hl will cause so much glare to other motorists much more if you are running on 50w. Caveat din, this might ruin your chrome reflectors. I hope you consider these points.

    To comment on your questions:

yes mas madali masira pag lagi fina-flash, especially cheap kits
cheap bulbs usually dont match in color.

Ikaw yung nagtanong dati about plug-and-play HID kits 'no?

You were informed by several forumers about how plug-and-play HID kits can be blinding to oncoming motorists, even when simply used as low-beam lights. This is regardless of what the color temperature of the HID.

Mas malawak pa yung illuminated area with those bulbs than your HID. Maliwanag nga yang sayo, sabog naman.

I think the reason HIDs cannot be used a flasher is because the system needs time to "warm-up" to operating brightness.
I've read about this too. I have to ask though, what about bi-xenon headlamps where both the low and high beam bulbs are HID?

Sa Tsikot kasi, if you can't avail of good projectors but in need of improved lighting, there's the plug and play halogen bulbs. Osram Nightbreakers, Wuerth, Philips XV/XP

It may not be of gary's, basta projectors para clear cut off.

    Amen!

To the TS sir rap2_tan, I posted a reply sa thread sa kabila, page 2 yon at ni-revive ko pa ang thread for the sake of HID newbies, I explained to them to the best of my ability and base din sa nababasa ko sa thread ni sir garyq (matagal na akong lurker sa thread ni sir gary at matagal na ring naglaway). :D And pansin mo sir may kumontra, but again I explained it further to the said forumer.

Sir, frankly if you want honest opinions, tsikot has it. Nandito kami to give you honest opinions, minsan may mga nasasaktan sa mga comment ng tao dito kasi they can't accept the truth or ayaw nilang naccriticize. Ang masasabi ko lang, nagtanong pa sila. :p

Tsaka btw, ang purpose po ng headlights natin is to give us light on the ROAD where we need it most. Put that kind of output on the road and you'll be blinding oncoming motorists. HTH sir. Just being honest here.

People here just want to give the best advice they can for the betterment of the person asking. Maaring yung iba dito magalit because most of us are actually against plug-and-play HIDs pero keep in mind na hindi naman namin ginusto na mag-look down sa binili niyong bagay. If you insist na gusto mo ng plug-n-play HIDs, then so be it.

But then, to each his own. Kung gusto mo pa rin. Ok, sige lang.

    ---

    Anyway, OT nanaman.

Re: topic, yes using your HIDs as flasher can shorten its lifespan. But then, yung HI, ganun nalang purpose niya -- as flasher. Kasi sobrang useless niya na if you tend to use it at night. Some even say that using a flashlight would be more helpful than using your HI Halogen from your hidbulb during sun down. I guess, applicable yun sa very cheap HIDs (4k below?)
