    Hi,

    Salamat. :-)

by headlight you mean bulb lang palitan mo? try mo Osram nightbreakers. other option is ipa retrofit mo sir if may budget. or install a fog light. i guessmay provisions na mount na abang na ang mobilio para sa foglights.

like you, mostly I drive on provincial roads which is a long stretch of dark no streetlight(most of the time) asphalt road. So scratch the fog light installation suggestion dahil kahit pa install ka foglight it is still not designed for what you are asking. Better divert mo budget into a good retrofit.
Advice lang, I know kahit sino sa atin gusto mura but may saying din na you'll always get what you paid for, wag masyado tipirin ang HL. Its for your safety. provided sa reputable shops ka mag pa install and quality parts yung ginamit sa install.

Pero if akin lang is, if yung reason lang ng dark tint is porma reasons, then I think it is better to prioritize safety over porma.

*Sir Striker, if wala pang budget para sa retrofit. Swap to lighter tint nalang muna, tignan mo if mas kita mo na daan.

If ako unang gagawin ko, papa palit ko yang windshield tint mo to light tint

If hindi parin satisfied. Then I'd consider Sir *D3nb3r's suggestion.

Osram Nightbreaker medyo makakatulong kasi mas maliwanag sya. But the difference is noticeable against sa stock halogen.

Try mo nalang muna gawin light tint yung windshield mo. If di parin satisfied, then try mo palit bulb. Least it's cheaper and di pa tatamaan warranty mo.

Osram is better sir compared sa LED? Example dito?

Magkakaproblema kaya ako pag maulan jan? Sbi kc sa isang thread pg masyado daw maputi prang balewala na pag maulan. Tapos my isang thread din ngsbi na pg more than 4300 K na ang LED masyado na yan maputi ang labas. And yung LED daw joke time pag nka HIGH kc parang walang silbi.

    Xenxa boss maraming tanong. Salamat.
    Nka HID kba sir?

kung stock ng mobilio ay halogens on reflectors (this also applies to other cars with the same setup) DO NOT replace them with plug-and-play HIDs or LEDs as generally they are blinding to other motorists kasi hindi designed ang mga ganun sa stock assembly

may officemate ako na ganito, basta maliwanag daw wala siyang pakialam sa kasalubong nya. what an asshat

usually pag sa mga reputable shops di sila nag ka cut ng wires and yung stock harness pa rin ang ginagamit nila so hindi ma void yung warranty mo sa electrical systema basta walang cutting and modification. Ang ma void lang is ang warranty sa headlight assembly. and that is it.
kaya if di ka mg DIY sa reputable shops ka pagawa dahil malinis at less prone ka sa mga faulty electical connections and wirings.

And oh pagka nagka problema ang electrical systems like burnt wire or short circuit void rin warranty kaya make sure your installer ay pulido ang trabaho.

This is the difference of stock halogen vs. Osram Nightbreaker:

Whiter and slightly brighter. It's only noticeable if you compare side by side.

In comparison, this is the difference between stock halogen and HID:

However, all that headlight strength is negated by tint. This is the comparison of HID + medium tint vs halogen + clear tint:

Bottomline: cheapest way to go is get lighter tint and Nightbreaker bulbs.

Best way to go is lighter tint and HID retrofit. If you can't live without the dark tint, at least the HID retrofit is much much stronger than stock halogens.

^i removed my windshield tint na even though it is the lightest at 3M CS35 as stock halogens are really **** at night on heavy downpour, i like driving at night kasi. dunno how i survived going home from Sorsogon at midnight na halos bumabagyo then

sa CS35 kita ka rin sa labas e so having no tint on windshield has no difference. lakasan na lang ang aircon if naiinitan sa tanghali

Salamat sa comparison sir jut703. So tint talaga ang main problem.

I drive just fine with CS20 and LED headlamps on Maharlika highway with the recent heavy downpour. What I couldn't take was CS05 with halogen headlamps - I hated driving at night. Even if I changed to HID but kept the CS05, it would have been undrivable. Tint > lighting when it comes to nighttime visibility, always.

Wala. Closest you can get is magic tint (Vkool K-series, 3M BC) - although you're still visible on some angles.

I used to drive Matnog to Manila before. Vkool K14 tint and Osram Nightbreaker headlamps. No problem with visibility at all, even in the rain. What I don't like about Vkool K-series (and 3M BC, and all other magic tints) is that it's reflective and doesn't look good aesthetically.
