guys i'm starting to be frustrated in buying an H7 headlight bulb. i was trying to buy an all weather H7 bulb pero wala daw stock, meron yung H7 na rainbow yung kulay. ok na sana kaso 100w so i had to put a relay kaso wala silang relay for H7. dami ko na hinanapan kaso wala talaga. medyo nalalabuan kasi ako sa stock bulb kaya yung mas maliwanag yung binibili ko. problem is, hirap maghanap ng H7 bulb, mostly H4's. convertible po ba ang socket ko from H7 to H4?

I think i saw a relay kit for the H7 in Hans Tools Shang. A electrical shop can also do the upgrade if you don't want to use a kit.

I think the Bosch ceramic socket for the H4 can be compatible with the H7 as i saw it on our Sentra before when we tried on the Exalta headlights (H7) and they used the H4 socket of our original headlight (iba lang yung orientation ng socket pag nakakabit).

Try to go with a 'plug and play' harness first before doing 'conversions'. H7 is just starting to gain popularity here locally. H4's have dominated the market in recent years.

Try mo muna suggestion ni vinj, madami din namang cool stuff sa Hans though minsan overpriced.

Glenn, parang H1 yung highbeam ng Rayban Galant... The 2000 Nissan Sentra Exalta has H7 headlights. I think i saw some H7 a/w's sa Hans waaay before (i'm only sure of the H1 that they have in stock)

Stock sockets can handle even 120w bulbs. As long as your housing can contain the heat of the bulb.

Glass housing assemblies mas reliable sa heat dispersal, di madali mangitim. Based form my experience with previous rides that had 120 globes. Yung plastic assemblies, nangingitim katagalan, about a year or so.

Best bet for plastic housings, 80w or less to be safe.

Ano po ba tsikot nyo? Kung common circular or rectangular headlights meron available na glass housings sa market. Pero kung design specific models, like new sedans (civic, sentra, vios, corolla), mahirap maghanap nyan. Even aftermarket housings made for each models are plastics.

Tyagain nyo na lang po linisin yung housing assembly pag sumbrang itim na. I don't think there is an aftermarket housing available for your ride. Or opt for 80w globes para di ganun kadali umitim.

If you're having concerns about darkening headlight housings, you can try your luck on bulbs with UV block... according to some peeps it only darkens the light minimally. Philips bulbs have UV block (you'll see on the packaging).

    question lang related to this..

what are the most significant differences between H7 and H4 aside from the increase in power outputs?

Significant differences, their bulb form and contact areas. Magkaibang-magkiaba, mas malaki yung H4 while H7 is smaller and single contact only.
