Guys need your expertise on this.

    TIA!

Philips Vision Plus. P800+ sa AutoSport sa Megamall. It's still halogen, stock wattage pero mas malayo bato. Either this or Osram Silverstar ang highly recommended ng mga tsikoteers.

We're using Wurth 100/80Watts H4 halogen bulbs, and used a relay wiring for our 93 ESI that we've been restoring. Got front windshield tints in it as well. It helped improved the brightness, but was not yet enough to safely see the road.

We only got it to be bright enough when we finally replaced the stock headlamps. Worn na pala yung reflective lens inside (having it cleaned barely helped as well). Are your headlamps still the original ones since 93? You can try using a flashlight to look inside and check if the reflective surface is already worn/corroded. We got a replacement w/ clear lens (similar to newer cars where you can clearly see inside the lamp). It did the trick. It's light beam is now as bright as our newer rides.

Just look for H4 type bulbs. All H4 bulbs have standard sockets to fit stock ESI headlamps (as long as the lamps are not the projector type replacements). You can select different brands, wattage as you prefer. As long as it is H4 type, it should fit.

If this was replaced with brand new, then this should be your standard to compare with your left lamp. If this was a surplus replacement, you may need to check it also already for potential degrading of its reflective lenses.

I'm assuming you mean the H4 bulbs? A set of two could cost as low as Php200 to as high as around Php6000 for high end ones.

Yes, you could. It's pretty similar to most rides. Pull-out the electrical socket, then the rubber circular cover, then you have to unlatch a small metal lever that holds the bulb in place. After these, you can then replace the H4 bulb. Warning though, its quite tight to do this with a 93 ESI. Not much room. With the left lamp, you need to partially slide out the power steering fliud container, but it would still be tight. With the right lamp, you need to pull-out the air filter intake manifold. A little better space here. An option is you can also have a shop replace it for you first, and watch? You can then do replacements yourself then after?

Thanks again Autobeat... Nice to know those things.. Maybe I'll choose to buy then they're the one to install it.

Any idea now where's the best place to go to buy and install H4 lamps? I'm near Ortigas area.

    Thanks in advance!

You can look for any nearby auto accessory shops in your area. I'm not just familiar what is in, and even the best place to go to in your area.

Any other tsikoteers familiar where to go in Ortigas area?

If you're talking about Vision Plus, headlight lang sya wala kasama na park lights. Iba kase ata Kelvin rating ng Crystal Vision, medyo maputi sya kaya mas mahal. It's price is almost the same as Diamond Vision (around P1,800), which has a Kelvin Rating of 5000k ata. If you're after visibility, mas ok Vision Plus.

Ah oo tama ko. Muntik ko na mabili kasi nalito ko sa mga Philips:

    Crystal Vision - white w/ park lights 4000 Kelvin - 1.5K
    Blue Vision - obviously blue - 1.xK
Vision Plus - eto yun hinahanap ko talaga. Hehe.

Btw, Osram Silverstar vs. Philips Vision Plus?

Hi Autobeat, tanong ko lang kung saan ka nakabili ng replacement headlamp with clear lens. Yan din problema ng 93 ESi ko medyo malabo na ang ilaw at kung magkano ang price. Matibay itong honda model na to. I believe itong 93 model unang pasok ng Honda sa pinas completely built sa Japan pa. 95,000 kms na odo pero di pa rin pahuhuli sa mga bagong model. Thanks

I can't recall the shop right now, but it was in Banawe. Got a pair for 4k. I think it sells now for 3.5-4k. It's readily available in most shops there selling aftermarket headlamps and taillamps. It's made in Taiwan though, so I'm not yet sure how long the reflective surface would last vs if I got brand new original lamps instead.

Yup, that's what I heard, at least for the ESI ones. If you look at the engine rin, 93's have this black top cover, while 94s-95s have silver ones.

OKs, baba pa ng odometer reading ng ESI ninyo. Ours is at 150,000kms na. OK naman kasi oil change naman every 5k. Kina-casa pa rin nga namin.

Are you pertaining to projector lamps like these?

I had a similar experience like ineedmorehp. Maganda siya at first, pero madali ring nalusaw/natunaw yung reflective surface inside the projector's "dim" lamp. I'm waiting for possible more durable versions that hopefully may be released later.

We use lang the non-synthetic oil offered at the casa where we have it serviced. Honda daw ang brand. Haven't been experimental in trying other oils pa. What are you using ba rin?
