for a more defined headlight cut off, us projector housing users can do a projector lens retrofit. we currently use spotlamps and this causes a lot of glare to oncoming traffic. i'm tired of the curses and flashing of lights. hehehe

i will update this thread of the progress of this project.

a set of delica headlights were used c/o marlon/exceed and was ripped apart by rocky of mach2 (salamas sobra sa tulong!!!)

    pics below..

    a dremel tool was used...

    "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...orretrofit.jpg
    one done.

    tadaaaa!

    2 done. beautiful

tools used: dremel with cutting tool.
total cost: 1500 each for the headlights, 3000 for both.

    next in line is:

    1. fixing the cut-off of the lens since these projectors are from a right hand drive vehicle. yero and steel epoxy will be used.

    2. mounting with adjustability

thanks to marlon of exceed and mach2 for the assistance.

    had the cutoff sheets done.

    materials used:
    steel epoxy
    empty coke can
    sharp cutter
    metal ruler
    alcohol
    cotton balls

    1. cut open the coke can using your sharp cutter. ingat lang. very sharp edges.
    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...ofit/pfit1.jpg

    2. cut strips using your metal ruler and cutter and fit it to the housing. make sure the lines are straight.

    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...ofit/pfit4.jpg

    3. using you alcohol and cotton balls, clean surfaces to be joined together
    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...ofit/pfit6.jpg
    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...ofit/pfit8.jpg

    4. using the metal epoxy. make a mixture good for one side first. apply it and align your aluminum strips to the housing.
    http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...ofit/pfit5.jpg
    stock right hand drive projector.

modified right hand drive projector converted to left hand drive.
    right projector

    left projector

notice the cutoff beam is opposite already.

    total cost of this section:

    steel epoxy - 125 p
    coke in can - 25 p

    = 150 p

hope i dont need to change anything tomorrow. testing for pattern is tomorrow

the projectors are now mounted in my projector housing. all i can say is....ANG GANDA!!! :D

only problem now is the alignment/focus of the lights. since very sharp ang beam pattern, kitang kita kung tabingi...and it IS tabingi. hehehe

here it is installed and lit..

comparing my previous lens to the delica projectors is like night and day!!!

    1. i dont get flashed anymore
    2. beam on the road isnt two vertical lines anymore. ang ganda ng pagkailaw sa kalye!!
    3. with my 4500K hid, the lens produces a prism like effect. ang cute!

i will post pics of beam pattern, day shots and whatever i feel necessary. hehehe

Wow very nice! Sana may gumagawa nito kasi I want to have something like this din. May nakita ako sa CR-V na ganito, gamit niya pa Bosch ata na projectors ganda pero mahal yun.

    GerardT,

i used to use hella micro DE fog lights (projector type). ginto * 3500P each. masyadong kalat yung buga since fog lights nga. so i scrapped and sold it. pero half the size lang yun from my current projectors. no need for lens cover since sealed yung projectors. just used some silicon sealant [para hindi pasukin ng tubig.

projector housing was made by a-toy bodykits.

    alwayz_y,

maganda dito sa delica projectors, sealed pa rin siya pag tinanggal mo from the housing. tapos nabubuksan pa via 2 screws to get to the cut off thingy.

yep, adjsutable siya thanks to the mounting. up-down, left-right, and rotating

    glntVR,

i heard about that nga. gusto ko din sana ganun gamitin e. problem is small budget ako and i already have an HID kit with h3 bulb type. buti na lang h3 din gamit dito sa delica.

beam pattern with the chinamade spotlamps:

    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...5_319_full.jpg

concentrated masyado yung beam sa center. pag lumiliko, ang hirap since walang ilaw sa sides.

beam pattern with the delica projector retrofit (not focused properly yet):

    clean cutoff. horizontally spread.

first attempt using hella micro DE fog projectors

    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...5_382_full.jpg
    masyadong maliit for the housing

    beam pattern

    boss theveed,

thanks. yup. best option talaga satin ang delica headlights because of the abundance of it sa surplus shops in banawe.

    ILD,

12500 including the 4 spot lamps na. take note though that hindi one-off yan. nagpagawa niyan for the familia was andy, the owner of mr.blue (the car of PTP). most likely mas mahal kung customized for other vehicles

    squatter,

    tyvm

    alwayz_y,

wa choice e. may 3 inch +/- na hole para mareplace yung bulb but that's it.

kung may dremel tool naman, mas malinis pagka sira.

    GarardT,

    12500 made of fiberglass

    ammad,

12500. HID kit depends on bulb type used on the projectors. sakin h3 bulb type.
