What are your expectations? Sa tibay and sa lighting performance? Depende yan bro. Plug and play HID kits will cause glare to oncoming traffic. EG hatch eto with PNP hid kit.

The hl's were even adjusted lower than stock and still the glare is way up the level of the cars windshield. Imagine ikaw yung kasalubong, masisilaw ka talaga. A good halogen bulb like Philips XP, PIAA or Raybrig will be better than this setup, for sure. Around 3k for a pair and better if you use clear DEPO headlights, 4k lang pair nun so total 7k lang. Walang babaguhin sa wiring harness mo tapos stock 55w kapa.

generic means walang brand. parang generic na gamot hehehe.

telescopic naman po is yung type ng bulb for h4 , yan yung umaatras abante yung bulb para maging high or low yung buga ng hid bulb. compared to halogen a halogen bulb has 2 filaments kasi isa pang low isa pang high. ang low nasa harap ang high beam nasa likod ang filament. so in order for an h4 hid bulb to do the same

Galing! I agree with you bro, respect for other motorists naman. If you want to improve lighting performance ng oto, get a good halogen bulb na lang.

Pina HID ko yung Tucson. H4 type yung bulb nya. Pero I'm surprised kasi walang glare sa traffic. same cutoff sa stock halogens. Excellent lighting talaga. Philips Germany. Pero budget wise, hindi sya recommended.

xenonoptics, talaga bang magiging ganun kataas ang high beam kapag telescopic HID?

  12. #12
bro Philips does not manufacture H4 na HID.

VTX na HID. 2 Years warranty.

Medyo OT pero tungkol din sa HID , ano ba mas maganda kung retrofit to Projector head lamps or yung bolt on na projector or bumili na lang ng separate head light assembly like Depo brand na projector na talaga + HID na lang? Halos same lang kasi ng price ng bolt on at yung aftermarket na projector head light assembly eh.

    Parang ganito

If you ask me, mas maganda siguro kung real retrofit. I haven't tried retrofit personaly, but for bolt-on, I had a chance to try it out. I wasn't satisfied with the light output, but the cutoff of the gen1 was quite good. well it was a 6000k light, perhaps if it was 4300k, it would be different.

well first of all ang topic ng thread na ito is looking for best hid . so we should stick to the topic on qualities of different hid brands.

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2133/...7b9d8f3780.jpg

now with respect to all the sellers here and all the retrofitters and all customers who carries or believe in certain brands. sa price po na binabayaran natin you get what you paid for. ganun lang yun eh

sa mga conscious about the glare medyo budgeted pwede kayo sa bolt on na projector, pag titipid talaga kayo pwede naman hid lang buy niyo what ever headlights you have, sa mga open budget pwede di kayo sa retrofit na projector mas mahal lang po konti pero as they say mas maganda buga and may brand din na hid ang package ok na din.

sa high beam naman po na sinasabi

ano ba purpose ng high beam eto google mo or sa wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headlamp

    Regulations and requirements

Modern headlamps are electrically operated, positioned in pairs, one or two on each side of the front of a vehicle. A headlamp system is required to produce a low and a high beam, which may be achieved either by an individual lamp for each function or by a single multifunction lamp. High beams (called "main beams" or "full beams" or "driving beams" in some countries) cast most of their light straight ahead, maximizing seeing distance, but producing too much glare for safe use when other vehicles are present on the road. Because there is no special control of upward light, high beams also cause backdazzle from fog, rain and snow due to the retroreflection of the water droplets. Low beams (called "dipped beams" in some countries) have stricter control of upward light, and direct most of their light downward and either rightward (in right-traffic countries) or leftward (in left-traffic countries), to provide safe forward visibility without excessive glare or backdazzle.

    http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4924342_n.jpg

    http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2310967_n.jpg

    low beam yan
    http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6582424_n.jpg

    eto high beam

    http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...5_123745_n.jpg

now eto pic ng low beam tignan niyo nalang yung cut off sa pader hindi naman nakataas eh hanggang hood lang nga ng lancer
    http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1665391_n.jpg

    http://xenonoptics.com/HID/thumb/ballast-50W.jpg

hindi lang yan meron pang mga marking dyan sa ballast para makita niyo similarities, actually yung pinagpagawan ng philips ng reg size ballast china na din. and ang hid namin ginamit ng toyota sa vios xx hehe so isipin niyo nalang ano gusto ko sabihin hehehe. pede niyo silipin ang ballast ko dito pwede ko buksan sa harap niyo just to see the similarities inside and out hehehehe

pwede niyo din check comments and suggestion page sa website www.xenonoptics.com
