Guys, need advice on adding foglights sa evolution III front bumper. Gusto ko sana yun 2 oblong slots nya sa baba e malagyan ko ng fogligts at sama yun switch sa low beam ng headlights ok lang ba yun o dapat hiwalay na lang ang switch? tsaka should i get the yellow light or should i get the white one na kulay ng ilaw?

as far as i know, the switch should be independent of the headlight but can only be switched-on when the park light is on. the reason is that you would only use the fog light when needed (i.e. heavy rain and where fog is present).

ize_9::: Are you pertaining to the auxiliary driving lights? Circular and rectangular foglights offer two different beam patterns; pencil cut for long range and wide for driving range visibility.

Pwede namang isama sa switch ng headlight then add another switch if you want it simultaneously on with headlights or just use the headlights alone. The downside of this wiring set, you cannot turn on the aux driving lights without turning on your headlights. Or you could put a switch for the aux light independently.

Basing it as per your topic title, this aux lights will be used as foglights. Yellow beam pattern performs best on foggy situation and rains. White hue will only be useful for city driving, not that much help during highway drive and occassional rains or fogs.

Sayang lang po yung white bulbs nyo sa headlights even if the package says 100W white shades. Yellow hue will just glare over the white reflections. Believe me, I've already tried that. :D

It is better to duplicate all your bulb's color temps if the headlights have 4000K then place aux bulbs at 4000K too or the nearest possible color temp.

    sir Ungas,
Your rt. i am refering to aux lights nga at to used rin on occassional fog when heavy rain occurs. i normally have long highway drives at night so i really need extra lights for better visibility. What brand suggest nyo? i was thinking of putting 2 on each slot nung bumper kung wala ako mabili ng exact na size for it e. And one more thing, do i need relays for the connections of the aux lights?

I've seen different sizes of rectangular Hella and IPF brands. (those are the brands popping on my head as of now ) I'm pretty sure there are other brands that may fit your criteria.

Yes, you will definitely need relays for your aux lights. Mas maganda nga daw pag tig-isang bulb.

If your alternator has a capacity of 65amp, you could be safe upto 85Watts bulbs. An 85amp alternator helps out on both of my 100Watt foggies.

Sa Banawe and Concorde and dami kong nakikitang Taiwan or China brands, they are much cheaper than Hellas and IPFs. I believe, JetCar in Banawe and Armark International in San Juan are distributors of Hella lights. You will just have to pre-order the lights that you need and wait for a couple of months to arrive.

try to visit the website of hella.com, then proceed sa "light tunnel " to visualize ng beam pattern. Malaking bagay ang beam pattern in selecting the model of your choice.

On my exp, I have to turn off the aux driving lights approaching a bend, kasi di ko makita kung may parating, dahil sa lakas ng liwanag cancelled out yong lights ng incoming traffic.

RedHorse::: Ahehe.. baliktad po pala tayo. I always try to illuminate the dark blind corners so that oncoming traffic would know that I'm around that bend. :D
