Just yesterday, the ABS warning light of our 323 just light up and stayed on. Even after stopping & starting again the engine it still is on.

No noticeable difference in braking power though according to my brother.

What could be the causes of this? Any quickfix to this problem?

    Thanks,

Maybe the sensor is malfunctioning? It happened to a Fortuner in the other forum.

    Ok thanks!

Saan ba located ang sensors ng ABS? In the brake system itself?

What I would suggest is to bring it to a reputable shop, casa even and have them connect it to a OBD scanner or whatever that computer is called and check the error codes.

Have the same light on in the Volvo. One of the rear wheel sensors is at fault. Hindi na namin pinaayos muna (the part is big and expensive for a Volvo, don't know for a Japanese brand). Black electrical tape over the idiot light.

It's just like driving a vehicle without ABS on one of the rear wheels.

All of our daily drivers are non-ABS equipped anyways.

Volvo tech assured at that braking performance will not diminish (did on-road brake tests).

The ABS pump and braking system itself is ok. It just can't read the rear wheels clearly enough.

Had a friend who bought a LC100, one time the handbrake light turned on and wont go off. pina check sa casa and they also found out that the abs warning light has no bulb in it. when they put in a new bulb it was lighting up, sira pala ABS. if the warning light is on its just same old vehicle without ABS ang function ng brakes.

Importante diyan is road test niyo. Yung samin ginamitan ng scan tool and road test to determine what was at fault.

So now, we just drive it like it has conventional brakes.

    Thanks,
Yung quickest na remedy is to reset the ECU or irereset sa diagnostic box (parang may pina-short but hindi ko nakita kuing anong slots ang pinashort).

Ang basic design ng lahat ng ABS equipped vehicles is kung masira man ito, it's like having conventional brakes as you said.

Try Kia Pasay. Doon ako nagpapatingin ng problems ng baby ko.

Agree ako na not all ABS system will continue to function if may sira yung ABS mismo. This happened to my previous Cefiro. ABS actuator broke. Laging lubog yung brake pedal. Tried to pull ABS switch pero lubog pa rin.

ABS Warning Light is always on
