Can you swap or trade-in your newly bought vehicle?

If you are under an auto loan arrangement, can you swap or trade-in your newly bought vehicle (say 4-6 months old) with same model but different variant? Example would be you bought a manual transmission variant and then an automatic variant comes out and you want the automatic one?

Negative on this one. You will have to pay off your loan in full first. But when you do, the bank will be more than happy to approve your new vehicle loan.
