    hi sirs.

    newbie in cars po ako.

We just got our new hyundai getz. apparently, the comprehensive insurance (with aog) was provided by mafpre and it's free in the dealer package. the sales agent will be sending us the copy of the coverage after two weeks pa so i have no idea on the terms of mafpre.

upon reading through forums, andami daming bad comments about mafpre and im thinking of availing from another insurance company with a better services and reputation.

what would be the best step to make here?

You can terminate your MAPFRE insurance and get a new one from another insurance company. You can get a refund of the premium from MAPFRE minus the taxes, etc.

Ask for a cash discount instead of free insurance.

Taxes are not refundable so you will loose money in a refund.
(24.7% of the premium plus another 20% pro rata charges.)

Or simply ask for another insurer instead.
