today i passed by shell ayala cor mckinley to gas up. i paid 300 pesos for e10 unleaded. low and behold after they gassed me up, my gas gauge did not move an inch. i complained because i was not dispensed any gasoline. the guy said their computers indicated that i was given gas and so maybe my gauge was wrong because my car was old. i demanded a receipt because i will complain to DTI, but their gas attendant and cashier insisted that they had given it to me, when clearly i was waiting for them to hand it over.

so to make sure it was not my gas gauge, i went to another shell station, the one inside the fort and gassed up another 300 pesos. surely my gauge went up to it's usual level.

friends, shell ayala cor. mckinley has given me my third bad experience (the other two, they made me wait in line for 15 minutes for gas, just to tell me they were calibrating the pumps and were not selling any, and the second time the attendant almost pumped in diesel when i wasn't looking.) these days when gas is getting expensive, this shell station needs to be calibrated or audited. what they're doing is no different from robbery. i will file a complaint against shell ayala cor. mckinley with the DTI first thing tomorrow.

in the meantime, don't be a victim. let my experience be my own. DON'T EVER GAS UP AT SHELL AYALA COR MCKINLEY.

Question, how will you prove to DTI that gas needle didn't move during fill up?

Let us know how DTI will handle your complaint.

Please no flaming, question lng po...

Maraming ganyang gasolinahan. Pansin ko yan.

With or without proof, I think you could file a complaint. All you need is a sworn statement. Just keep us posted on the progress of your complaint.

mag file ka na lang ng formal complain sa DTI. o baka naman medyo defective na din yung gauge mo.

tama si mazdamazda, dala ka na lang ng galon tapos dun mo palagay ang gas para makasiguro ka.

Honestly, if you file a complaint with any agency without substantial proof, chances are, you won't get far. Sorry bro, but from what you posted, I don't think there is enough evidence to back up your claim. It will be a case of "he said, she said."

Don't get me wrong, what you said may very well be true, but the absence of clear-cut evidence may work against your favor.

today at oct 25, 4 pm, ms. tess marquezes (hope i got it right) of shell forbes, came to my office and personally offered her apologies about this incident. it is a good thing that they have apologized, though she had offered no restitution to correct the matter. understandably, it was because of the lack of a receipt, but she confirmed that their cashier reflected a sale at the time. there were only two unleaded e10 sales at that time, and i confirmed to her that the 3.00pm was me. the other sale was at 11.00pm.

i have not concealed my identity to prove that i am not complaining for the purpose of getting freebies. it's not my style.

it's been five days now and i have already forgotten my P300. an emailed apology would have sufficed, but coming personally to do so is a sign of sincerity, i believe. i have accepted the apology and all is forgiven. though certainly not forgotten, i am hoping shell ayala cor. mckinley will spruce up their service and make my complaint the last they'll ever get.

Good thing they've apologized. But question lang, does that mean that their pump was at fault? Hangin lang ba talaga ang nabuga? Baka kasi kaya nag-apologize without offering an explanation or restitution eh para hindi mag-suufer ng negative publicity yung station nila. (Baka tsikoteer din yung may-ari). Mas malaki ang mawawala sa kanila.

P300 is peanuts for a gas station owner. They should have gone the extra mile and reimbursed you for your troubles.

    Hmm, now I understand.

May nangyari parang ganun sa akin sa Shell din (somewhere else in the city).
Yung gas girl, di nagbantay, nagkukuwentuhan tapos yung automatic disengage ng pump, di gumana. So may natapon na gas... on my newly Big Bert-ed paint! :swear:

It turned out na faulty yung catch ng automatic nila. Ako pa lumabas para magpunas. When it came to paying, kinaltas ko ng Php50 ang bayad. Rough estimate ko mga 1 liter kasi tumulo. I feel mabait pa ako nyan.

Aba, umangal pa silang lahat... tapos yung guard nila lumapit, karga shotgun nya in a threatening manner. Without bringing out our guns, me and my bro showed we were armed. Atras kaagad si sikyu. Bigay nila agad ang receipt.

It's so sad that it had to come to that.

Shell McKinley should have refunded you, IMO.
