Toyota GLI 1993 Big Body: what to upgrade?

Hi,

I'm using an old Toyota Corolla GLi 1993 Big Body, All stock, with 72,000 Km reading. What do i need to upgrade to increase its horsepower at the same time making it more economical. I know this is a 1.6 L engine, that's why am asking what can i do lessen its fuel consumption and increase its power.

From what i know, increasing power generally need more fuel. Anachronistic ang horsepower at fuel economy.
