On June 1, 2012 Shell will launch its latest generation of premium performance fuels namely Shell V-Power Nitro+ Gasoline, Shell V-Power Nitro+ Racing and Shell V-Power Nitro + Diesel. The Philippines is one of the first countries in the world to see the introduction of the new premium performance fuels, which will directly replace the Shell V-Power fuels and Shell Super Premium currently available in the Philippines.

New Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels are formulated to help improve engine performance and deliver more power and responsiveness compared to Shell Standard Fuels. The fuels are designed to start acting instantly in your engine. “With these new gasoline and diesel fuels, we have built on the innovative and successful platform established by our best-selling Shell V-Power fuels and developed new formulations, designed to improve performance and to act instantly in your engine,” says Anthony Lawrence Yam, VP for Retail, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp (PSPC). “It’s exciting to be able to bring this new product to the Philippine market and I believe we have succeeded in making a good product even better! I would encourage drivers to try it and see for themselves what it can do.”

Shell launches new generation of V-Power Nitro+ fuels - Auto News

The introduction of Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels builds on more than a century of experience in fuels development by Shell. “We have around 120 passionate fuels scientists and specialists across the globe working on fuels innovation, development and implementation to meet the evolving needs of customers and their cars,” says Mae Ascan, Fuel Scientist from Shell Global Solutions. “At Shell, the development of fuel technology is an on-going process. Shell V-Power Nitro+ is the latest example of this; the next step in the Shell V-Power performance fuel technology story.”

Shell also developed the Shell V-Power Nitro+ Gasoline to replace the existing Shell Super Premium. “Shell V-Power Nitro+ Gasoline is our latest technology designed to improve performance and act instantly in your engine. The product contains increased detergents designed to prevent and clean-up deposits that affect engine performance. We have also increased the friction modifier content designed to instantly reduce friction in critical engine areas, thereby helping the engine deliver more power,” said Pia Que-Ang, Shell V-Power Brand Manager. Track to road technology transfer with Ferrari

Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels are designed for use in whatever car you drive and are formulated to get to work instantly when they hit the engine. The fuel formulations are designed to help control the build-up of deposits in new engines and help remove deposits in older engines to ultimately help improve performance.

An integral part of Shell’s commitment to innovation in fuels development is its technical partnership with Ferrari. Fuels Scientist Mae Ascan : “Our close-working relationship with Ferrari provides us with an environment to test new fuels in extreme conditions. This gives us a better understanding of what will deliver improved power and performance. For example, in the Shell V-Power Nitro+ Gasoline available at the pump, we use the same friction modifiers as in the race fuels we develop for Ferrari Formula One cars.

Nag-full tank ako last night. I always load up unleaded pero parang the old Vpower lang naman. Konting bilis ang arangkada. Not worth the price difference though IMHO.

You won't get any improvement since its basically the same fuel...

Initial findings on 50% Premium and 50% Nitro +:

Usual ko sa Premium/Fuel Save (and Silver before we moved houses) the first bar mawawala around 35 to 40 kms. Yung 50/50 approximate mix ko 30 pa lang bumaba na. Not sure kung napagigil lang ako sa apak hehe. Will give it a few more fill ups to get a good average. Problema lang kasi pasukan na so magiiba na naman ang traffic. Not buying into the hype but Shell is the most convenient station for me.

Spent 2,500php on it (akala ko may Sodexo/Jollibee promo parin ) and... well, difference from FuelSave? Nah. I'd rather pick someone's nose than try to throw something here.

But in any case, I won't be that quick to discredit that it's the same as the old Premium. I'd shiver at the thought that 150 engineers simply concocted a huge lie on their research so I'd at least give them some trust on their sayings.

But bottom line, FuelSave or Nitro+..... For some reason parang nagustohan ko yun Nitro+ so I'd stick with it. I daresay it's 95% placebo effect though :naughty2:

nag full tank ako ng Blaze100 kanina. From just using 91 octane for 2mos now(date kasi i just mix whatever), mas responsive lang, yun.
