Was doing my recent calculations on fuel economy and averaged 400 miles per 15.6 gallons when the fuel gauge reads empty. I asked this similar thread in another forum of the same cars (w123 diesels) and they said 20 gallons pinakamarami nilang nailagay. So baka mali yung gauge ko hehe.

Now if I maintain my MPG, that will amount to 513 miles in one tank. That's 825km! But my best MPG was 29 on the highway, driving at an average of 60-75mph. If I use up all 20 gallons at 29MPG, I get 580 miles. That's 933km!

It's good to have that 21.1 gallon (80L) tank!

(If this is a repeat topic, sorry I couldn't find the original! I looked...)

Hmmm... the farthest I've clocked on one full tank of my LC120 is only about 450 kms. Hehehe! A far cry from what you've done, mbeige. But that's mostly Metro Manila city driving for me. Haven't been able to empty (or almost empty) a tank just going out of town.

I do 585 kms with 1/4 fuel left in the tank (house to tuguegarao). Try to keep the speed at 90 kmh most of the time. Havent tried really emptying the tank on the long drive. Medyo mahirap ang gasoline stations especially when your approaching aparri. So far been able to keep this consistent everytime we go home.

Ako mga 375 lang. Ayaw ko kasi mag intay ng much less than 1/4 eh. Bukod sa baka umakyat ang latak ng tangke, baka maubusan ako ng gas pag long drive. Lagi pa naman ako naliligaw.

I've forgotten the exact figures but it was a 1000+ km on a round trip to Laoag. Fuel tank has a capacity of 55l and the fuel gauge's warning light has not lit up. I got something like 19-21km/l that day.

Our 3.3L V6 Sonata has a 17.7 gallon fuel tank. I get close to the advertised 30 mpg highway using cruise control set at 75mph as much as possible. I got 490 miles before I tanked up again and with the gauge still a bit above empty. That with me and 3 passengers on board.

    Some conversions:

    30 mi/gal = 12.71 km/L

    17.7 gal = 67.0 L

    490 mi = 789 km

    75 mph = 121 kph

Add: Lately, I haven't had a chance to see how far one tank would go if I did strictly day to day driving instead of a road trip I mentioned above because my wife always filled up the tank as soon as it hit the quarter tank mark.

Farthest you've gone on one full tank of diesel?
